Well global warmer and I are currently sitting at the grey gums cafe halfway up the putty. Just had something to eat but doesn't look like anyone is turning up from Sydney end. Bit of a let down but we'll wait till about 12:15 anyway. Looks like I better call up the pub and cancel the lunch booking.

Well. What a great day! Livewire (Kevin) and Me (Matthew) got to Grey gums a little early from Singleton and nearly left before the cars from Windsor turned up, as they were running a little bit late. We were glad we wiated in the end cause the drive to Singleton was great. We all had a great time tackling the 16KS of bends before milbrodale.

I cant recommend the Grey gum Cafe enough. Food was great, coffee was great, service and staff were great and so was to atmosphere!

Lunch at Imperial Hotel in singleton was very nice too. One of the better of our 9 local pubs thumbsup.gif

Was really good to meet some of you guys that frequent the forum too. As you can see by the pics I am in love with Livewires car (who does not love a bayside blue R34 GTR...).

Good to see you guys met up with the other guys at the halfway point!!

And lol at the guy in the silver R33 who tried to drive onto the RAAF Base :rofl2:

And please remind people that you bring along, that admiring cars is okay, but please don't lean on them!!!!

Did someone lean on your precious Sean? LOL

didnt see that but i imagine most would know better, i remember doing it once as a teenager on someones car and getting my ass chewed out/ been car lean shy since >_<

Cruise was fun except for being held up by the occasional numpty in a slow mover, apparently we did well for a Sunday though. I think i have been spoilt by too many track days lol, cant get my head around overtaking and worrying about oncoming traffic...they dont seem to like you understeering into their lane either..:whistling:

anyway thanks for the run guys, nice to meet some new faces and i hope to see you all again at a future event. Locals like rob are welcome to come round and have a beer/GT5 match anytime!

Good day despite the smaller than expected turnout. Hopefully the official sau putty cruise will be a better turnout because its a great road for a cruise. We couldn't have asked for better weather. Was nice to meet all those who came, nice group of guys and was good to have a reason to get the car out on a decent road

I do a good 3 hour drive like 2 times a week just to random places

Do you have some kind of underground connection to bootlegged cheap petrol?

hook a brother up :pirate:

oh and heres my fbook album..

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
