hey all!

my mechnic said i need new rear brake pads.

would i need to change the front pads too?

im looking at endless and project mu pads, they go around 150.

do you guys think its OVERKILL for daily driving? and will it eat into the rotors?

would you guys have any suggestions on what pads are good?

THANK YOU!

Endless / Project MU would be great, but make sure you upgrade the rotors as well.

Or you will end up chewing through your rotors.

You could question a set of DBA 4000 Series Rotors with your mechanic first as they look like a decent upgrade just for street use.

well yea, i guesss i would of have to upgrade the rotors as well... =|

well atm not looking at upgrading them....

so i guesssing any standard pads from like auto-one or something would be good enough right?

what about this stuff http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=18659&cat=286&page=1 ??

Thank you !

Consider QFM A1RMs, they are a good bang for buck pad that you can use daily right up to moderate track work :)

Depending of the thickness of your existing rotors you MAY be able to get away with just machining them, but rotors aren't that expensive anyway Click here for example pricing

Personally, I love my Project Mu HC+s... but they are dusty, noisy, pricey, not fantastic cold and eat rotors

If you're not doing any track work I think you'll be better off with QFM HPX.

From everything I've heard A1RMs chew rotors quite a bit which is fine if you need great braking for track but probably not needed for street.

Call the guy at GLSRallysport (forum trader) & see what he suggests...

HPXs are cheap too at $80 per set

That should do you fine just for daily / street.

But for a peace of mind, I just went OEM Nissan pads and from memory they were about $120.

    • HG's high flow is not "bolt on". The core is shorter, moves the comp cover rearwards in the engine bay. means you have to deal with the inlet plumbing a little bit. This is probably something to consider with every "bolt on" turbo anyway.
    • HyperGear. Just get a high flow of the stocker. Good, reliable, and should bolt on. Yes it will want things like a retune once done, so you need to factor this in to your spend too.
    • Hi. Iam looking for some "cheaper" bolt on turbo on RB25DET NEO. I do not want "big" power just better reliability than the stock turbo which is "fot now" good but is old and i do not think it has "easy" life. One the Skyline here running some "temu" china Turbo but i dont trust those... Thanks!
