I changed the oil in my S14 6 weeks ago I check it every second day

The level never changed till the other week when I got it dyno tuned

Ive now lost 500ml in 2 weeks my mechanic says the engine is healthy and I'm not leaking or getting any blue smoke off the the exhaust or any smoke out of the oil filler cap and I don't have a catch can

Where's my oil going?

Rear seals? Cam seals? Crack seal? Oil filter not tight enough? If it's not burning it most likely is dripping. Leave some news papers under you car and look for drip marks. He can't say you're not leaking when you clearly are...

No I'm saying I'm no leaking I have checked all over the car no leaks

Where I park it at work the concrete is very clean I park in the same spot everyday and no leaks or dots of oil on the ground,

I do get a bit of white smoke on cold start up but that's just condensation right?

White smoke is condensation in early mornings. Black smoke is normal too on startup just indicates the car is running rich to warm get things flowing. If you blow white smoke while driving its water. If you blow blue smoke its burning oil. If you are certain you are losing oil, it must be going somewhere. I don't know if the oil would retain it self but if you leak oil from the rear main seal, it might be pooling up in the bellhousing of your gearbox but this is very unlikely as the oil will definately seem through the seam where the housing meets the engine. This is a tough one. If you aren't burning it, you aren't dripping it, I'm stumped. Unless its leaking out of your head gasket, onto your exhaust and burning up before you have a chance to see it. This happened in our van, oil was leaking straight onto one of the headers(dangerous shit) and burning up. We had to keep topping it up then somehow the mechanic said its leaking oil onto the exhaust and burning up... Then again we had drip marks on the ground..

Have you recently added anything to the oil system like a cooler or relocation kit? Is it still losing oil after you top it up or has it stopped?

I just topped it up I'll see if it loses anymore

No nothing added to the oil system

Turbo is working fine so I don't think the turbo is leaking from a seal, it definatley doesnt smoke after warm up

It's got me stumped too

Ok now don't laugh at me... I did burn alittle oil during the dyno tune I'm guessing because there car was rum very hard

But when I thought I lost more it was because... I can't believe I am admitting this... I was checking the oil while the car was on a slant.... I checked it today at work while it was perfectly level and the oil was perfect a little high acctually. Whoops my bad thanks anyway guys

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
