Never heard of out, Forced performance do their own hta turbo with a similar name though which I don't know of anyone using on an rb but I recon it would be a good high power combo. I know someone with a 3586hta on an rb30 and it makes over 500kw on e30 with awesome delivery.

In this thread you will find results from 3788's, try to remember they are bolted onto big budget RB30DET's and not your average forged motor.

Considering there are 4088s and 4094s I have no doubt that garrett has simply mixed and matched some existing parts. IMHO I would expect the 3794 to be a little better under the pedal and make roughly the same power as the 4088. With the 3788 still being the pick of the bunch.

In the GTX thread I already told you to search and that if someone had one it would already be posted. Moving on..

They actually seem to push more than 4088rs in the cases I have seen, interestingly enough.

Yeah, power capability of approx the 4294 but the response of something like a T04Z

Only a turbo you would select for making easy 600hp at the wheels or pushed hard to 800hp at the wheels with the right fuel.

We use the 3788 as it's better suited to what we do/need

For anyone that is interested, these seem to get less attention than the PT67 turbos but I've been a little more fascinated by these.... haven't said too much as I've been keeping an eye out for results on these things for AGES which are closer to indicating what to expect for those of us who don't want to have to rely on E85/huge boost for making good power and good spool - found that someone has run one on an XR6T and made really good power relative to boost level on one, despite being on a fairly basic setup with stock manifold etc. 400kw on 1bar on pump gas, for example... and sounds and spools awesome!

So now I'm pretty much convinced this would be a gun turbo for a big power RB that retains some form of streetability, they've made >900hp @ wheels on E85 (American dyno style, but still equates to >600kw @ wheels Dyno Dynamics if you take in account the differences) and pushed various Mitsis into the 8s.

See here:

And thread: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/78068-boosted-1-in-with-446rwkw/page__p__1166770#entry1166770

Need to somehow fast track finding money to build an RB30DET suitable for such a setup :)

So, a 2litre EVO in the USA just put down 570awhp/425awkw on pump gas using a FP GT3794HTA (they did the 1.2 correction trick a lot of UK workshops do to estimate Dynojet/BHP type figures to get 684hp) - pretty impressive result all the same!

Mods:

· FF Shearer HTA3794 kit

· Magnus Intake w/ 65mm TB

· Buschur twin fuel pumps, ID2000 injectors

· Ported head, stock size valves and Kelford 280 cams

· 2.0 Liter Built

· Sparktech Pro CDI

· AEM EMS

So its 580rwhp with god knows what air temp, ramp rate or boost.

Cant be compared to anything....... Weigh the car..... run it down the strip.

If its 3000lbs and does 140+ then its about right.

Yeah im always suspect of DD graphs without te most important data visible. In fact we just did a test on a Mainline 4wd Dyno (new) and found quite a few variances in power outputs by changing very little 160rwkw first run r configure then run 200rwkw just by a few keystrokes...just to easy to fudge figures. Need to have the full story with dyno sheets.

Fair enough, I'll keep the thread up to date with anymore info - its in the US and most people don't trust DD anyway so he is going to re-run it on a Dynojet. They sound like they expect it to do >140mph traps.

^ yep, that and its running on a 2litre engine - life needs to make as easy as possible to make that kind of power.

Black bnr32, I'd love to see some dyno plots of EVOs making 420+awkw on a Dyno Dynamics dyno running straight 98 using a GT3582R.

I always used to love DD because I think they give more realistic figures compared to hubbers, but after using the dynapac lots now I'm converted. The ability to have such repeatable and consistent results so you can actually compare cars and/or modification effects is awesome

    • Absolutely could be. I collected data logs from when the O2 sensor was still out and also after I had replaced it so will try to compare them. Pretty confident that the affect is lowered with the new sensor, will check logs at the same RPMs/conditions.
    • Hey guys Long time lurker, I daily a nm35 stagea 250t rs four and I've had it for almost 2 years (very reliable 👌). Issues or just looking for information ill always find myself here having a read, so thought id join.  3inch stainless intake, pod filter, AM performance turbo dump pipe, 3inch hotdog, 3 and half inch stainless to 3 and half inch AM performance blast pipes. Bc racing coilovers. 18inch rims Hdi intercooler and trans cooler soon.  Here's my car
    • thanks for the advice on the box... i was thinking the 6 speed was better for cruising on the highway but on closer inspection and comparison the Rb 5 speed box was not too different...  So the choice is going to be the RB25 box... if I can save up and find one at the right price
    • Thanks Matt, yes that's what i am aiming for. Just going to apply the right voltage and grounds to the dash connector. Hence my search for these pins... any chance you know if these pins are in the same spot as the ones on the S15 Dash connector? as mentioned above on page 8?
    • Yes, unfortunately that's the one. Signal was noisy to begin with; after driving once and looking back at the logs I saw pressure constantly swinging between 0-200psi, or staying at 0 randomly for a few seconds. There's a lot of good sensors that share the same look and feel, so don't presume they're all bad. I bought mine for 20$ off Amazon and I should have read the reviews prior, as it's clear they're junk.  I purchased a lowdollerr motorsports sensor.
