Hey guys,

I've been interested in the Gtr since I heard about it and what it can do.

Im an electrician and am doing my diploma, ive just joined a class called reporting and specs.

I have till November to learn about a topic of interest and present a 3000 word written report and a 12 minute speech.

I also must have to have a target audience

Your idea can be WHAT EVER you want.

I've chosen to present a report to the Europe touring car championship, my report will include trying to organize or ask to let other cars into there tour or try to create a world tour. It's all a bit rough ATM as I've barely thought about it.

I will be basing my idea to the audience on the Gtr (as I've heard it is "faster the the 911 turbo around the Nurbergg ring")

I will also base it on alot more fun and a bigger car scene around the world (seeing as australias only real coverage is bathurst with aus cars)

Amongst other points I have in mind.

My point for this thread is that I'm sure alot of you guys know alot about the Gtr.

My first approach will be getting the manuals of the car

I'll then be looking for sources such as from the makers of how it puts that much power to the wheels

Some people may think this is lame but I think it'll interest me a little while will make me want to do it more

Hoping some people can help me with a manual download or some good websites or books.

Or info on the Europe car scene.

Any help would be great to get this ball rolling.

Jarrad.

Don't quote Wikipedia as the source. Most claims on Wikipedia are also referenced in the Bibliography at the bottom of each page so if you use something, go straight to the source and have a look for yourself.

Wikipedia is a gold mine for academic research, as long as it's not used as the actual source.

Why don't you do a report on the R35 and the WTAC ?

A couple of threads you can get a lot of info from, including pics, graphs, video's etc. Indepth build threads right here.

Whatever doesn't make sense you can ask the people directly who are involved.

You can even post results.

Your references can be for the std cars mechanics and how altering power, aero etc changes x.y and z.

nah i don't read books to much i only have this one cause a mate gave it to me, i think the most info you will find will be in mags like "wheels" etc, anything that reports on stock cars as they are released, otherwise try the Nissan web site, they might still have a write up on its release or of the updates its had over the last few years.

Spoke to my teacher and he made a good point. It's going to be hard to find info so I guess I'll do something else :S

I thought there'd be stacks of info about it, like a whole walk through of the car and where it competes and everything.

Ohwell solar panels it is lol.

You can use wiki, theres heaps of info as it has already been said just use the wiki resources as reference at the bottom of the page.

I cant see why you couldnt find any info on it :S

i think its just a bit over my head considering its for tafe

thanks alot aaron, ive deciding im going to do a "breifing" about solar energy and try to get some new customers as i work for "joe solar" or something haha, so my main points are going to be why its worth getting, sadly ive relised theyve canned all insentive to get solar and from what ive seen its pretty pointless.

so im gunna struggle to sell it :P

would you agree? seeing as you "were" in the industry? haha

    • Well, fun day was had, I finally found a house that will do me just fine, 1980's brick build, but with full fresh renovations, plus new colour bond fencing all round so puppies are incoming 🐕, and water tanks for the garden, and it's located in West Goulburn..... @Duncan 🫡, so day trips to Wakie to watch cars going Zoom will be on the cards In the end it cost well under my budget and was actually better than alot of the more expensive joints I was looking at, it is in a good area, close enough to the shops, public transport, and the Wollondilly River Weir,  and the great walking paths along the river, but far enough away from town to see minimal traffic The deposit is dropped, the conveyancer is conveyancing and I should get the keys in a week or 2 as the property is currently unoccupied  As with everything I own, I'm doing up a modifications list, as it doesn't have solar, that is first up on the big list, all of the panels and enough batteries to keep the joint warm, or cool, followed by a largish carport out the front, the small list, which will start as soon as I have keys, is some security stuff, like cameras, screens, and the usual "crazy prepper" additions that weird old people like (mouse holes to stick shot guns out of, and the usual man traps that the average person installs for the unsuspecting and unwanted guests 🤣) The gardens front and back are OK, but, not to my standards or liking, so landscaping will be a fun job to start getting into, so when spring is sprung I'll do a heap of planting, lots of natives and vegetables is the plan, the old owners were more "Old English Garden" type, so basically Roses and other weird looking things that are destined for the green waste bin One thing that is staying garden wise is a nice established hedge out the front, it is about 5 foot tall and covers the whole front of the property from prying eyes As for the car hoist, the roof in the garage has some height to it, but, I'll need to get an installer out to see what can be done, width wise may be a issue, but my building inspector will be getting back to me over the next week with his recommendations  Small, but cosy
    • I tried to get in contact before I went to QLD you didn’t respond, then I tried to contact you in r31 club.  I thought you fell off the earth or something haha.  I will grab it off you but unknown when I will be up that way
    • I think that might be in the question. He is going very low, and I think the standard GTR ones are simple tripod joints (like the rear NA/S chassis ones), not proper CVs (like R chassis turbo/GTR ones). Proper CVs take the misalignment better than tripods.
    • Do you still need the wiper motor and stuff?
    • I haven't used the Crank Motorsport ones, but can I ask why not use standard gtr/gts4 axles at the front? They would easily cope with that power level. BTW.....sounds like quite the project!
