Hivita Stress even has twice the amount of B3 than the ones above ie 350mg of Nicotinamide and 50mg of Nicotinic Acid (both forms of B3).

It's actually a great formula and better bang for your buck than the ones above. $28 for 100 tablets.

However, some people can get a 40 minute rash if it's taken on an empty tummy or you've had sweets or alcohol in the preceding hours.

The rash is not an allergic reaction. Moreover, it's just a vasodilatation reaction where extra blood engorges the capillaries for just a little while.

It's a B/Multi as well; like the ones above.

Two pharmacists Bob Little (dec) and myself were consultants back in 1979 to help Rod reformulate Hivita Stress.

Unless one is running short on serotonin, the dose can be just 1 a day after food.

That Flameout formula is really very good if you're over 35 or if it's required for inflammation.

If you're under 35 or if the essential fatty acids are required for ordered brain function then EPA should be higher than DHA imho. Then the Bioceuticals "Ultraclean EPA/DHA Plus" is a fish oil that is well tolerated by people who often can't take a fish oil.

I don't like their Conjugated Linolenic Acid approach however, because not evryone can convert Linolenic Acid to Gamma Linolenic Acid.

I would accompany your essential fatty acid formula with a Evening Primrose Oil with added Vit E oil in it.

What you'd want to happen is for...

Linolenic Acid > Gamma Linolenic Acid (as in Evening Primrose Oil) > Dihomo Gamma Linolenic Acid > Prostaglandin E1 (which when you research or google it, is wonderful).

Hope this helps Nick (&/or others)...

thank you

I'm 30 but do heavy weight training 3 times a week... lots of compound movements, powerlifting, olympic lifting etc plus play basketball so am often sore (not injured or anything just DOMS)... know how beneficial fish oil is but am allergic to fish so looking at other options... currently I don't take anything but have a pretty well rounded diet

looking at one of the multivitamins you suggested plus a fatty acid supplement

Gotta say Terry.. I've been feeling great since taking these. Hard to pinpoint if its JUST that, I've also been eating really well and I've been super disciplined with exercise, but absolutely I feel great. Especially apparent in late afternoons, getting stuff done after work etc.

Good work if you helped formulate it!

Terry, whats good vitamins for work outs? I dont do heavy liftings or anything (beginners only) , just started gym again but my diet is not as good. I just bought swisse ultivite + natures own ultra fish oil .. I read the tresos-b+selenium , would u recommend it to say, a mild work out like i do?

Yep it's a good formula + Coenzyme Q10 100mg daily to strengthen muscle cell walls + keeping up with protein foods + green/red/orange colored veg as antioxidants that reduce lactic acid buildup

Selenium is a strong antioxidant too, which reduces "free radicals"

I take multi vitamens, dont know if they actually work or not, certainly dont help with gains at the gym.

Also take fish oil for general well being, hoped it would help my memory a little but not sure about that.

Acai berry supplements go well. I dont get any more energy and havent lost weight (not that i need to) but I havent been as sick this summer

Testosterone, probably over use the supplement but I have seen some good results in the gym as of late as far as strength gains

"gains at the gym" can mean muscle mass, reduced lactic acid, stamina, explosive power, maintainence of energy after warm downs, core strength etc

Lots of variables; so will need to know more....

I havent put on any mass, but since taking them about a week ago, I have started lifting a lot more. Not so much power gains but overall strength results are there. I am thinking its the testosterone.

Makes me want to get on the juice

strongest on the market but not recommended for beginners!! you should see 6-13kg of gains after 6 weeks of use apparently

I was thinking bout going for Deca-Durabolin, its slower then Oxandrolone but a good start.

Hard part is where to find reliable sources, cant just buy this stuff at GNC Livewell :P

Without going too far into it, you'll need to use DECA for at the least 10 weeks. Better off if used in a stack TBH.

And without a proper PCT, you stand to lose most of the size anyway. It's as important as a cylce itself.

There is plenty of info around, id suggest a good 2-3 days of reading first.

I didn't respond to those in the Ultivite thread who posted with "no need for vitamins if your diet is good".

I know that my response will be better served here when I say that...

* those who believe that adage, "We are what we eat" have NFI !!!

* the fact is, "we are what we manufacture (or don't) - as well as what we eat, swallow, inhale, absorb and drink".

* our genes also help determine when our 'Use By' date is up

Example A:- If you have a missus who expects a baby, she'll be told to take Iron and Folic Acid.

Folic Acid is Vitamin M. So to those who think vitamins are crap, and tell your missus there's no need to take vitamins, your baby risks (in the womb) developing Spina Bifida

Example B:- Doctors - especially some psychiatrists - who'd rather opt for natural products for their Bipolar Depression patients may prescribe Vitamin B12 and stay off Gluten foods and alcohol.

Example C:- Dudes who think they're bulletproof and think they'll bounce back after ingesting anything from hydro-Pot, methamphetamine, Acid, Smack etc do experience in fact a lovely spike (albeit temporarily) in up to 5 endorphins but soon after it, may default into Phobic Anxiety, Passive-Aggressive Mood Disorder, Clinical Depression, Schizophrenia etc

Example D:- Vitamin B3 Complex can help with GLA in Evening Primrose Oil to produce Prostaglandin E1 and then prevent one type of Premenstrual Syndrome. It can be combined with l-Tryptophan amino acid and produce Serotonin, thus removing the need to take much if at all, SSRI antidepressants, so in many circumstances, it can prevent Anxiety-Depression. It can also be taken each day with oats (with cholestyramine) to prevent Hyperlipidaemia (ie high LDL cholesterol). It can be used with Chromium mineral to prevent Hypoglycemia > Diabetes.

Example E:- Vitamin B6 in conjunction with zinc can prevent another type of Premenstrual Syndrome.

Example F:- Vitamin C along with isoflavones, bioflavonoids and zinc can protect one's immune system from colds. It's even used along with anti-AIDS drugs to prevent HIV from going rogue

Example G:- Vitamin U in laetrile (found in cabbage, apple seeds and apricot kernels) can prevent up to 15 types of cancer. This was taken off the market in 1982 by the Dept of Health due to pressure by a multinational drug company.

Example H:- Ever seen the film "Lorenzo's Oil" about little Lorenzo who had a genetic flaw (as we all do), but his life was about to be cut short; until his Dad researched how to manufacture (via several mistakes) a supplement of oil that kept him alive for another 30 years.

No-one can tell me that supplements and vitamins don't work!

To the dude who said there was no research that they do, Linus Pauling won the Nobel Prize for Medicine for his work on Vitamin C, and right up till to-day, there are people like Dr Robert Buist here in Aust. who have many journals about vitamins/supplements their dosages, when they work and when they don't depending on how they're taken. Buist has a Ph.D in Biochemistry - not a GP who has NFI (and who was fed vertical-thinking baloney at Uni like I was in Pharmacy). Nowadays, I think outside the square.

:)

Hi Mitch,

An active young male experiencing the cut and thrust of life may benefit from a high quality B Complex/Multi with Selenium (which is a good antioxidant that reduces lactic acid and muscle soreness). Someone mentioned earlier in this thread "Tresos B with Selenium" that it's one of the best. I agree.

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
