Im also wondering is there something about them that will hold us back?

My new car has a microtech in it already and Im somewhat CBF to replace it..

If there was a major advantage I would do it.. Anyone care to sway me?

I just spoke to DVS JEZ quickly by sms, the basic outcome was to leave it and be happy.

Stuff like the link etc has more features but not really necessary stuff to get a good tune out of it.

In my case its an SR with VCT, I will put a window switch into it shortly and it will do everything I need it to..

That's probably because the STD ecu is still there controlling the idle. They aren't the greatest of ecu's pretty sure they still batch fire even thought the should be able to run sequential inj/ign with ltx12.

Same with my 200, runs fine.. No stock ecu in place.

Just lazy on power, but I cant really blame the microtech haha.

Its actually as economic as factory too.. Eh we have our answers, nothing wrong with em for a basic setup.

i dont have standard ecu at all its just microtech liek i said its a rb25det in a vl commo so im runnign full aftermarket wiring loom no afm full map sensor and my cold starts etc are perfectly fine

Well sounds like they've pulled their finger out and worked out how to drive the extremely complicated IAC valve.

Can any of you comment on the sequential injection?

    • With the system, once you drive it for a bit, and before you turn the car off, does the car fix its date and time? When you say the date is wrong, what date does the vehicle think it is, and does it always show the same date? My thoughts from a process driven view is; The system may be defaulting to a standard start date/time. The main reason you'd typically see this occuring, is the system is losing its constant/backup power supply.   If its always defaulting to the same date/time at start up, and especially if it fixes itself while driving, I'd say either the non volatile memory has an issue, or the power supply to the volatile memory that stores this information.   The other thing I'd check is if there is anywhere in the system you can adjust the date and time from. If the date/time is still moving forward since it wished you happy new year, then it is 100% possible the system has just had a bit of data corruption occur, and you likely need to find a way to reset the date/time in the vehicle.
