Moving to a gt2 seems like a brave choice, doesn't it? I'm sure he knows what he's doing, but how could you survive with only 4 tyres for 4 days in a car like that?

Jim Richards publicly says that he only drives between 6 and 8 tenths for the whole event in Targa. Also he probably saw how well Brock did in the RWD Monaro so if he can do it so can Richards. I think we all know who is a better driver.

Also does anyone know if all four tyres on the porsche are the same size cause if so he can roate tyres around the car something he couldn't do last year.

White ones to cause panic

The whites are always quick but in Targa u need reliability.

My tip is the Porsche will still dominate for the next couple of years. What we really need is a factory backed nissan team or for nissan to get off their arse's and build the R35 that will be the car to win targa.

Hope to see heaps of u down here.

Cheers Lavers.

Most of the N1's are "N1 Spec" but started life as whatever. One car that is trick is 822. If it is the one I think it is - One of 16 R33 Mines V-Spec cars built.

We will try and keep our page updated daily, That is if I'm not overseeing midnight works, which is generally the case.

Click on this link once the event starts and check our progress. Note one Geoff & Neridah Beable have entered in their GTR... Stiff Competion indeed.

To win Category 8, you'll have to finish in the top ten, and to win category 9, you'll hav to win outright.

Was that 934? For sure (I have it on fairly good authority) its stablemate is a genuine artical too. How else do you get a full parts inventry?

Just prepare everything best we can, add LMS and come Wednesday morning try and keep it on the black stuff...

We have been here since Mid March - may have seen the Bunnings Gunmetal #832 at C.V & Driveshaft city.

A lot of time and money has been spent on suspension for this year in search of a 1 second per K gain. Last year It was bog stock with Tein and Dunlop Tyres...

TT

yeh ive seen it there a bit and at bunnings, was impressed with your effort last year, will be interesting this year with the optical start finish sensor, cos i know for a fact that the times get changed on preference (EG brocky). will hopefully see you at the end of the first stage bridgenorth i believe my job will be to collect time cards and have them stamped and returned to drivers

    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
    • So, now all you need to do is connect the 2 or 3x 12v feeds into the unit to permanent 12v, ACC 12V and IGN 12V that you can find in the spot behind the stereo, and the earth, and then it will switch on with the car.
