factory block or modified block?

when i say modified, ie- grout filled etc.

400rwkw isnt a problem for one that is properly built.

Highest I am aware of was somewhere in the 650-700kw area from memory, the motor ended up failing due to an oil starvation issue so not block strength - I don't believe it was filled or anything.

Campble (sp) made 900 rwhp with a jun 2.7 stroker kit in a 25 block.

fwiw theres bugger all difference between a 25 and a 26 block as far as strength goes.

They are the same casting with just some different bolt sizes and patterns plus the 26 block has an extra oil return port for the 2nd turbo.

it appears they will cope 490 rwkw in a circuit car, they wont without 12mm head studs, as the 11mm studs grow a little longer at 30 pound with 9.5 static comp at a wee bit over 500 at the tyres
