I thought they came as an option as I have seen old people driving them with the cages lol.

I'm meaning proper cages, not a loop bar... Sparco race seats, harnesses, the works.

Sarge, Maybe you just live in an area with lots of gay men?

You rarely see MX5's in my area(parramatta), its mainly towards the city around lane cove areas. Weird people live there.

seriously - you are a p plater - learn to drive first.

do a course or 3

then modify a car.

yes I sound like an old man but f**k me in my job I see so many young people total lossing their cars - cars I question why did they have in the first place

get an NA supra or skyline and just learn

f**k mods - learn to drive - hours behind the wheel = best mod

yes I am drunk but I dont care.

I learnt the hard way - and this is why I say this

... hi there ...

i agree with chris ... "you are a p plater" ... "learn to drive first" ...

i personally think that first cars should something practical, inexpensive to maintain, cheap to run & easy to insure - if youre like most p platers your car will become your second home & just keeping petrol up a 6 cylinder car can cost heaps - id go for a 4 cylinder maybe something like an sr20 - the na sr20 is a great engine in a smaller lighter car with plenty of power - i wouldnt think about getting into a more seriously powerful car until you are off your p plates & you have a few years experience behind you - as far as mods save your money until you can afford to do things to your car that will enhance how it drives - things like: brakes /suspension ie: springs, shocks, sway bars, strut braces / full exhaust / alloy wheels / sports tyres / regular servicing - sure you can add other things to make it look good but id get it driving well first before you "pimped" it up - remember that cars are mostly "liabilties" & not "assets" meaning that they cost a fair chunk of money to own & maintain & register & insure - buy a car that you can afford to run that fits your income.

... cheers malcolm :)

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
