GTR_JOEY
Nice results...interesting to see how much it makes when its running sweet whats the potential power difference between the s362 and the s366 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/378995-bw-airworks-turbos/page/2/#findComment-6044631 Share on other sites
zebra
that sounds mint Dave! Any work done on the ports? or just the baby cams? might have to start looking at the 88-75 instead of the 83-75 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/378995-bw-airworks-turbos/page/2/#findComment-6044643 Share on other sites

T04GTR
from what i have read, the 8875 is a gun turbo. but must be orderd with the .91ar twin entry housing for best results. when the dollar gets back up il prob just get one anyway... lol. zebra
Yeah it looks the good, my only concern is the cut back turbine wheel compared to the 83-75, will have to try and find back to back results to see whether the extra power will overrule the extra lag lol. Lithium
How much power are you guys after??? 360+kw should be well doable with the S300SX 83/75 with a good responsive and wide powerband, I'd thought that'd be sufficient for most people. zebra
Im after a mid 10 1/4 in a 3800lb Soarer...so Ill be needing 400+ Rekon a 83-75 will do that on E85? might need 35psi...but Im ok with that lol Edit - Im basing this off Guilt-toys 380rwkw r33 which went 10.8 at 130something, my car is a bit heavier, but is auto, so by my rekoning 380-400 should get me where I want to be. More is always a bonus though lol. Not looking forward to getting the quotes on having the trans done to cope lol Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/378995-bw-airworks-turbos/page/2/#findComment-6045693 Share on other sites
zebra
So, according to the moroso calc, 600 flywheel HP and 3800lbs = 10.77 @ 126mph Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/378995-bw-airworks-turbos/page/2/#findComment-6045718 Share on other sites
GTR_JOEY
geoff at full race recommended the 83/75 to me,.. I too am after approx 400rwkw though im doin it on 98 my set up included a built engine, mild cams, cam gears, 800cc injectors, large aftermarket cooler..still using 2.6L im assuming u would be able to get 400rwkw on E85 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/378995-bw-airworks-turbos/page/2/#findComment-6045733 Share on other sites
zebra
well if Geoff says its a go, then I'd be oblidged to believe him. What rear housing are you using? split .91? 1JZ's tend to need a bit more boost than RB's to make the same power when using the same turbo....having smaller ports does that. Lithium
400kw on E85 should be easily doable with a S300SX 83/75, even through an auto imho. If you're not shy on boost and setup on E85, then depending on the dyno I'd say well more than 400kw should be doable. If you're "only" going for cracking tens with an auto Soarer and willing to go 30+psi on E85, I'd lean towards the S300SX... once you start going larger building boost against the trans might start becoming a challenge, unless you are going to use NOS. zebra
Yeah thats my concern, it will be setup street/strip so no 6000rpm 6" converters here lol No Nos either, a) because I'm a firm believer in only using a single "power adder" and b) street car Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/378995-bw-airworks-turbos/page/2/#findComment-6045787 Share on other sites

GTR_JOEY
Yea mate 91 rear housing on a twin scroll mani... U can get the bigger rear housing, Geoff recommends it for applications over 25psi.... I really think u shouldn't have any troubles on E85 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/378995-bw-airworks-turbos/page/2/#findComment-6046136 Share on other sites
