it's been called that since he died. what should they have called it? i think you are pathetic for thinking that having a memorial trophy for the person who holds the record for number of wins is pathetic.

+1.

Typical GTR fanboi who cant move past 1992

I'm going to use cold tyres as the excuse for everything that goes wrong life from here on.

Why did you lose traction at the rear? cold tyres

Why did you spin a bearing? cold tyres

Why did you forget to feed the kids? cold tyres

I like this idea.

They make it out like they have never driven on cold tyres before......Note they are all kids saying this....Cold tyres mustnt be modeled properly on Need for Speed

yeah. same as how the GTR fanbois would go on about how it took until last year to break the race record, despite the fact that the average lap done under race conditions has been much faster than the GTR for many years, just safety cars slowed the race down.

LOL.

1080p coverage of bathurst, about bloody time!

Not happy with it though. I'm running the sound back through the home theatre system to take advantage of the "surround sound".It's most distracting. Not every camera angle has full sound, and the volume seems to vary with different cameras.

I ended up turning it off and just take the TV sound.

i just realised the trophy is called the Peter Brock trophy = PATHETIC its getting worse

Why wouldn't they call it the Brock trophy...

Love or hate the supercars, ford or Holden there is no disputing that Brock is an Aussie Motorsport icon.

i have mine running through the surround sound system. sounds fine. i watch all tv through it. maybe tweak the settings a bit.

I'm awaiting the comment about 2:08's being slow cause Sierra Sierra or cyber could probably do it in 2:06......

Waters into the wall, whoops.

lol yeah. they all like to talk about qualifying times but don't realise that the race laps done were about 6 or 8 seconds slower than qualifying times because they basically turned the engine into a grenade for qualifying. these days they are only about 1 or 2 seconds slower than qualifying laps. if you were to put the GTR that won back in 92 in todays race it would already have been lapped, probably 2 or 3 times.

hahaha yep

I laughing at my FB feed at the moment.

Lots of "omg holdens are so much better etc"

Im sitting here going wtf they are the same car you dickheads.

Even the Holden engine is a carbon copy of the D3 headed ford...only difference is the engine mounting posistions and intake manifold bolt holes

    • Have you done the Ignition Sync Wizard in the AEM software?
    • Find out what RPM it was idling at with the IACV unplugged. It's very weird that the rpm didn't change at all, and then it stalled. When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
