Oh, BTW, those who won prizes at the Stagea 15th Cruise, can you please send me a PM with your name (just your first name is fine if that's all you want - your choice), what prize you won and what for - my mind is failing me.

Oh, and if you know someone who won a prize and you know that they don't get on the forums much, please pass their details on to me (with their permission, of course) or let them know to contact me. Need those last few details for the article.

Any Texi spots left? I bet nobody has seen an incompetent driver wobble a Black Volvo around witches hats before?:whistling:

Need to get that SAU membership form filled out; thanks Nick.

Let's get some Stagea's to the next Texi ...

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/383719-s-a-u-n-s-w-texi-sos-12th-february-2012/

Don't let me take away the wagon glory ( I refuse to compare my times to the two doors :whistling: )

Remember it's not all about smoking tyres and rev limiter bouncing, go as hard as you like and the faster times are done with throttle finesse rather then flat to floor.

First timers $35.... very little coin for a fun day out. Also looks like we will have low numbers = lots of runs

Okay just in case people haven't gotten out of the Stagea section down to the NSW events section, I thought I'd remind everyone of very cool event coming up

Sutton Rd TEXI - 19th May

Have a look, watch the video, feel inspired.

Things to note .

  • You don't need a mega kilawasps car to enter - have a look at the entry lists, there is a Magna and Micra whistling.gif
  • 1 car at time - GO AS HARD AS YOU WANT . feel free to drive like a granny or hard out 100% .
  • Everybody is really friendly and welcoming of noobs, I have no skill and have had nothing but positive feed back and encouragement
  • This is a rare event, get in while you can, it may not be back.
  • It will make Nick happy to see Stags at NSW events - you don't want to make Hulk mad.

No I haven't signed up but will be once I feel rich ( crossing fingers it doesn't sell out ) .

or

Come for a cruise Putty Rd 22 April

yes I know Stags are a wagon not a track weapon but it's still a lot of fun.

Melbourne people Canberra is not that far for a overnight stay, there is cheap accommodation being organised.

Great stuff Ryan on keeping this thread updated :)

Yes guys, come to stuff - remember these cars have turbo awd, so use it - or if not, feel free to come and watch others having fun and seeing what you're missing out on haha

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
    • Good luck on the weekend mate
    • Must have been an absolute nightmare to drive when the power steer was out, the rack ratio/wheel size/caster is all set up for power assistance
    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
