Hi all,

so after some searching and going around looking at several skylines. i took the plunge and did it, picked up an r33 gts-t. damn does it feel good to be part of the club.

i get the feeling that i'll be spending a lot of time on this forum over the next little while. after barely having it for a week i am already starting to think "mods" woot.gif its like a drug. this is my first turbo car, i can from canada, back home i went through several camaros/trans-am's over the years and they were fast... but something about the turbo just makes it so addicting to drive.

the comment pertains to the weight of the car. they are heavier than the others and thus called boats or whales. if you see either mentioned they are referring to a 33.

I own a 32 so I do not get those comments,

if you are in or near brissy your first stop should be me for mods. that way you still have a car to mod.

given you are on the gold coast and a LOT of these things go missing from there IN LOCKED CAR PARKS I would suggest you come see me for a decent alarm.

The number of immobilizing points do not matter....its the total installation that counts.

And Chris Rogers is exactly the person to see when it comes down to a well hidden, well integrated system that should frustrate all but the most determined/professional of car thieves (ie: tilt-tray truck or Nicholas Cage).

I might have some work coming up for you, Mr. Rogers. Not sure if you've done many of them but worth an ask I suppose :closedeyes:

i thank you for the offer, but i am already fitted with something that has a 3 point disabling system... or at least that what the previous owner told me :s

drive it up for the next tech night. bet I can get past it :)

I have a 2nd R33 as a stolen and recovered due in a couple of days. same thing . crap install and a set of smashed locks. not sure on overall condition of the car just that it was found by its owner and still runs.

Congratulations on your purchase, and welcome to the forums. chris is a long time member of sau, and has been in and around skylines for a while. He knows his stuff when it comes to car alarms and theft systems, as he has stated above, just for peice of mind, its even worth the trip to see him one day, so he can explain to you why you system isnt as secure as you think it maybe. and if you are on the gold cast, especially in these times, there have been alot going missing from down there lately. so better to be safe then sorry. alot of places who install car alarms, do not know how to properly imobilise a car, chris does. hope this helps. give him a call at the least.

Congrats and welcome, that is a damn tidy looking 33!

And I can't agree more with the above comments, Chris is worth the trip - a security system is only as good as the install. Put it this way... I live in Melbourne now and will probably be getting another car in the near future, and if/when I do I'll be flying Chris down here to take care of the security prior to delivery.

Nice and welcome. Could you get skylines in Canada? I know theyre illegal (lol) in usa.

As it has been said you really want to watch out for thieves and have your car extremely secure.

      Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny

      R34 Speedo not working after manual swap

      Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again

      Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.

      Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
