BU5TER
and no they're not a radial tyre which is what Benm means by street tyre I'm pretty sure Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/38247-sau-14-mile-times-v2/page/6/#findComment-811206 Share on other sites
rev210
true, if you don't have front runners on you can't drive around very easy. You can also put them on your old trailer for runs to the tip Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/38247-sau-14-mile-times-v2/page/6/#findComment-811240 Share on other sites

benm
If the tyres have grooves they are "Non-Slicks". If the tyres are slick then they are "Slicks". Pretty self explanatory. whatsisname
The only difference between ET Streets and ET Drags is a couple of pissy little lines that are supposed to be the tread. There's no way I'd actually run ET Streets ON the street! I do however run Nittos on the street, including the twisty stuff. WLD747
hmmm. Ive got the same but a blitz bov and 17'' 235/45/17. Im also running base map (dont know about timing). The subs are going to be removed from the car this weekend. :bs!: Hopefully then i can push a low 13  or even a high 12  . 3" turb backFMIC POD + CAP APEXi PFC (Not tuned yet) running base map with Ign set to -5 across the board 12psi boost and Bridgestone RE540s 225/50/16's Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/38247-sau-14-mile-times-v2/page/6/#findComment-813108 Share on other sites
benm
Don't forget that the subs are adding weight to the rear end which means better squat and better traction, removing them may cause you small traction problems. WLD747
i thought that as well but it also will reduce quicker acceleration due to the weight. So its 50/50 chance of success. WLD747
Pineapples will make it squat Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/38247-sau-14-mile-times-v2/page/6/#findComment-813166 Share on other sites
benm
I've got those pineapples and they did make a difference but nothing like a good set of tyres will. I leave my sub and spare tyre in the boot just for the extra squat but I still need more traction, the 225's don't help Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/38247-sau-14-mile-times-v2/page/6/#findComment-813187 Share on other sites

Revhead
Hehe I know where I can get a set of really big drags wheels/tyres, off of a 7 second drag car... I'm still trying to figure out how far I'd need to lip the guards to fit the 25" wide or so wheels... I reckon I could do a rev-limiter launch in first gear once they've been warmed up and it'd still bog down :bahaha: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/38247-sau-14-mile-times-v2/page/6/#findComment-815018 Share on other sites
