There is only one problem with these great prices on Nitto tyres at Taleb and Ozzy tyres...

Nobody has any stock!?!?

Ozzytyres took my money and then phoned me 5 days later to say "sorry we don't have any in stock" and then tried to sell me inferior, cheaper tyres for the same money telling me that they were better and cost more (they were trying to sell me RT615's and NT555R's neither of which are in the same league for performance or price). That is at best dishonest and at worse... well... what do you reckon?

I would not recommend Ozzytyres at all

I hope they've gotten better at balancing wheels; I must've had 1kg per wheel when I bought tyres there a few years back.

The vibrations nearly shook the paint of my car on the way to my regular tyre service to have them rebalanced; ended up with about 10 grams per wheel...whistling.gif

they dont make a 235/17 in a 45 profile.

they do have a 235/40/17

if you desperately need a 45 profile look at AD08's

wtf is wrong with them lol

235/45 has to be the most common tyre size this side of 205/60/15s lol

40 profile would look shite

oh well, will look into AD08's......or buy wider wheels :whistling:

  • 2 weeks later...

Yeh I should have clarified; nobody has the NT-01's in stock

In what size? I ordered a set of 18" 235 and 275 - and after reading this thread I checked stock levels (in stock) and manufacture date (aug 11) with them before committing. They are now on a truck coming across the nullabor. Nutty pricing for R comps with free shipping.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
