Door Warning Light On, Boot Light Stays On

My car has started to leave the door warning light on the dash on, and also the boot light is not turning off after the boot is closed. I am not sure how long the boot light has been happening, but the door light has only started happening in the last few days. Does anyone have any ideas for what I should check? I'm hoping it's something as simple as a sensor for the door, but of course I fear some crazy electrical gremlin.

Weirdly I got in the car this afternoon, key in the ignition, door open so of course it beeps, but then shut the door and it didn't beep. I started the car up, there was no warning light on the dash, then after about 15 seconds it came on again. Worn relay maybe? Also discovered my interior light doesn't work, even though there is a globe in it that is not burnt out. Annoying, but have to remember one thing at a time.

time to buy a multimeter?

The bulb might look OK but still not be making contact, you need a multimeter to test it as a circuit.

I am also guessing that your boot light fixed itself?

I am not sure if the boot light fixed itself, as it only worked properly for less than a minute, and I have the globe removed currently so as to not have any chance of draining the battery. Will have to pop down to Jaycar I think and grab a multimeter.
