fair? after the shit Team Cheater pulled post quali on the eve of possibly the most important race return for the last 5 years?

no such thing

just because you didn't like it, doesn't make it cheating. Rules don't have a 'spirit'. They have wording. You use them to your advantage whenever you can. RBR have been pushing the boundaries of the rules in their car development all year, forcing wording changes to the rules to stop them avoiding the intention of the rules. How is what Ferrari did any different?

My point about Spa was that Grosjean took Alonso out of effectively 3rd place and gifted Vettel 6 of the 8 spots he made up from his starting position. Vettel had no speed at Spa - failed to make Q3 and his only podium in the previous 6 races came in the wet at Silverstone. He got a bagful of points and Alonso missed out on his because of that incident. If not for that, Alonso would still lead Vettel in the Championship. Grosjean is the deciding factor at the moment.

I think Renault putting an abrupt end to Ferrari's domination had more to do with the regulation change that you had to use one set of tyres for Qualy and the race. No tyre changes/strategy.

Demonstrates how much of Ferrari's advantage was in the tires, and not in the cockpit

Not to mention the unlimited testing laps team cheater felt they needed to have to stay on par with the competition

These testing rules have really leveled out the field, and i for one, am pretty happy with the racing ever since

They have done nothing of the sort.

that same logic applied to Renault would say most of their advantage was in the Michelins...

besides, the argument that Bridgestone designed their tyres for Ferrari is a bit silly. The other options were to design them for Minardi or Jordan - they're not going to get you wins or a championship.

and wasn't it Michelin that got busted cheating with wider front tyres?

Thats racing.

Could have easily been the other way round, Alonso wins at Spa and is in the box seat if not already World champion this weekend and Vettel is doing the chasing cause someone took him out at a previous race.

You cant just say its Grosjeans fault that Vettel looks to be winning the WDC. Wrong place wrong time is just something that happens. Grosjean shouldnt have run everyone off the road, but it happened, and it was unlucky for Alonso

I can say it, and I am saying it. Its undeniable that Grosjean at Spa changed the course of the championship. Vettel who couldn't even make Q3 ends up finishing 2nd because 6 of the top 10 in front of him were effectively removed from the race in the first corner, including Alonso. Alonso scores 0 because of Grosjean and Vettel gets gifted 6 spots. That is what happened.

Saying it doesn't count because something entirely different could have happened is insane.

The way it stands, its the deciding factor of the championship.

Bout time someone said it. Spot on.

Yet every second post of yours in here seems to be about how bored you are watching the races...

Ahh I'm not gonna argue lol. I know what it's like when it seems like your driver has been robbed of the championship so I see where your coming from. I was just trying to be a 'Neutral' voice on the matter.

Spa was the opposite of Valencia. Vettel out from no fault of his own, Alonso wins.

Thats why I said thats just racing.

I think either driver is worthy of it this year, The worst fact from the USA GP was 'Kimi is the only driver to have raced every lap of a race this year'

I hope the next Lotus Is a good one :)

Sauber will announce during the course of this weekend's Brazilian GP who will partner Nico Hulkenberg next season.

Force India boss Vijay Mallya has revealed that his team will receive a significant financial boost ahead of the new season as they look to move up the grid

"We had a board meeting in India after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and the board has approved a £50 million capital investment programme for the team," he explained.

The way it stands, its the deciding factor of the championship.

i was actually thinking about that and have to the conclusion that that is ridiculous. To pick out one incident in isolation as the deciding factor is nonsense

Renault has shafted vettel with two alternator failures. Robbing him of almost 50 points. And looks likely do it again in the title deciding round also

So now i declare that Renault has been the deciding factor in the championship

That's entirely different as well. If your car is unreliable, that's points you deserve to loose IMO. Sure, its outside of the driver's control, but its a characteristic of the car he's in, just like its awesome downforce, or any other characteristic of the car the driver has no control over.

But I have no problem with Renault being the deciding factor in the championship. If their shit is too unreliable to win races, that's a fair deciding factor!

And loosing an alternator and retiring doesn't gift your rival another 6 places, and the bagfull of points that goes along with it. Those points Vettel was gifted and Alonso lost by being skittled are the reason Vettel leads Alonso in the Championship. That's why its the deciding factor at the moment.

what!?

The same reasoning goes for, if your cant qualify you car for shit and get stuck in the mid pack, you deserve the wrath of the newfags

You reasoning is specious, to say the least

    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
    • Nah, that is hella wrong. If I do a simple linear between 150°C (0.407v) and 50°C (2.98v) I get the formula Temperature = -38.8651*voltage + 165.8181 It is perfectly correct at 50 and 150, but it is as much as 20° out in the region of 110°C, because the actual data is significantly non-linear there. It is no more than 4° out down at the lowest temperatures, but is is seriously shit almost everywhere. I cannot believe that the instruction is to do a 2 point linear fit. I would say the method I used previously would have to be better.
