Need Some Help

Hi all,

just after some help. I want to install an a/f ratio gauge in my na r33. just not sure on the best way to do so. can it be taped into the 02 sensor if so which wire as there are 3 (Red, White and Black) or should it be wired into the ecu? also the gauge only has 1 signal wire. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have one in my car and it's useless at the moment, as the factory meter is only narrow band and not wide band.

The 3 wires are ground - power - and the final one splices into one of the pinouts on the ecu, cant remember which one.

chuck the useless gauge in the bin.

All it will tell you is if the o2 sensor is working

as zebra said, all the gauge will tell you is whether your o2 sensor is working or not. the readout will give you no other usefull information at all. whenever you put your accelerate at over about 25% throttle it will just go into the rich section, even if it is running dangerously lean.

they do look pretty though.

oh and it can be wired either to the correct pinout of the ecu, or the o2 sensor wire in the engine bay. it's the same wire, just a different end of it

^This. Tried installing one in mine thinking I was going to have a fully sick readout because my engine was running rich as f**k. Ended up researching after I installed it to find out you need a wide band sensor. Which are roughly $300

Eh, $200ish depending on value of the Aussie dollar. I got mine for $185.
