hey guys just thought i would bring to your attention i had an attempted theft on my 33 at around 5ish this morning. (been meaning to get an alarm but recent lack of funds stopped this). I got lucky, no damage on entry and they have popped the ignition to start it however the steeringlock wouldnt release so once it was out the driveway they got no where. And my trusty neighbour spotted it while out having an early morning smoke. had not got around to putting insurance renewal back on either so im very lucky to still have my baby here.

I live in Southern Brisbane around the sunnybank and runcorn area so if u have a skyline in the area make sure its protected. First things on my list atm now are an alarm and renewing insurance.

Currently waiting on qps arrival :( will update this if and when i find out anything from them. They have taken my wallet, gps and the cheap bastard even took my smokes!!

AGAIN MAKE SURE YOURE BABY IS SECURE, ALARMED AND INSURED. I wish i hadnt left mine so long now.

So many thefts down brisbane way at the moment.

Suprised your neighbour didnt go and confront them if he saw something going on.

You were very lucky though this time, you still have your pride and joy to enjoy!!

neighbour said she thought it was me at first but when he looked at her the guy suddenly headed up the street and didnt come back and the car was still out in the road running then she realised what was going on. Working in a prison though all i can say is if the cops do actually catch this guy i hope he ends up in where im working.

Thats screwed man. My mate had his stag stolen from the southside. I think i'm gona have to hurry up and get something for my stag. I've spent too much money and too many hours on it for it to dissapear :/

found a column for yours btw :)

sometime this week I will get it re keyed.

could be worse - mate of mine had keys, wallet taken from a unit in that area. keys were benz optical and they are going to be a pain to replace. add to that one ute that went for a drive as well (with tools in the tray I am told.)

lock them up or lose them seems to be the thing for southside at the moment.

had a chat to a neighbor a few days bay who has a toy tucked away and he was saying someone is trying to get that as well..

what is it with people???

sweet thanks again for the help Chris. hopefully will get a chance to msg you tomorrow hoping if you're available that ill have cash to get you to do the alarm for me this weekend :) and ill definately be going for the higher grade package id say.

Got a nice set of wheels? Love your pride and joy? Dont want some window licking fcuktard to steal it? Easy solution! Call Chris Rogers, Get the job done and dont be a tightarse. The guy is from what i can tell, an absolute legend and really knows his schnizzit. Alarms and immobilisers are there to keep the honest ones away, so think outside the box and incorporate other sneaky means to securing your pride and joy, im sure chris can make some subtle suggestions to you if you are a commited customer :)

    • Input shaft bearing. They all do it. There is always rollover noise in Nissan boxes - particularly the big box. Don't worry about it unless it gets really growly.
    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
