21yrs old,  just joined forums, a 34GTR, me smells a birthday present :P

sorry dude, had to be done

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha thanks i hav'nt laughed that hard since i was a little girl!

I wish my parents were that generous. I took money out of my consumer morgage on one of my propertys for what i didn't have saved.

how does one gain such a grasp at 21? Property and shares both need start-up capital, and returns arent gonna make you loaded overnight unless that capital is very substantial.

Im not picking at you im just curious, as im also interested in property, not so much shares tho.

Well now iam fielding questions to prove iam not a crim or spoilt brat. Oh well I was privately educated which helped, and took an interest in finance from when i was about 15. Had part-time jobs since then aswell just saved when i was 18 i invested in Hillgrove Gold and all the yield i got from them i used to buy more shares and gain capital. I got into property just before it boomed aswell which helped.

I hav'nt taken any handouts just was very careful where i spent money, and didnt spend money when i did'nt have it. I wanted a R34 GTR since i first saw one in Japan back in 99' i just gradually worked towards my goal.

C'mon guys, i dont want to have to be the one to say this but i think maybe we/you are pushing this dude a lil too far.. So what, he has a nice car.. so do many other people on these forums.. do we criticise them? I'll probably get beat down for this post also, however, the questions you are asking are rather personal. He does not need to prove himself to you to post on these forums. If that was the case.. post up your measurements now.. lol

After reading everything I have to agree, big deal if the dude has a 34GTR at 21. I say well done, thats a awesome effort

He was just trying to find some low-life who biffed his car!! Good to hear that the cops are doing there job, pity he had to ruin another persons day and crash into there car as well

As for the other stuff COPYME has said about it running whatever quatermile times, if a owner wants to make claims on a forum and can't back them up - prepare to be roasted

Seems like everyone has something to say, just thought I'd add my 2c as well

Chris

yes evryone always has something to say... im not roasting him im just interested how he came about it. I dont care if it were given to him, and its not like im going to bad mouth him if it were, and since he says that he has done it on his own, surely thats a success story youd here about on TV! who wouldnt like to know how a 21 year old affords a $100thou+car on his own? These are indeed personal questions and nowhere does it say he has to answer them. I think its interesting to hear how people make it big.

agreed :P

I remember when two 21 year old brothers bought a $60,000 Ferrari, and it made the paper! Surely COPYME's story is worthy of a full length feature film :D

Looks like a nice car

    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
