Hey guys,

I've booked a skidpan day for 16th May,

I know a few people who may be interested in this - myself included.

The sessions are $149 per person, and limited to 12 people.

Either 8.30am-12.30pm or 1pm-5pm. We will be going with the morning session

Included are driving instructers, who can give some tips and help you out, including riding in your car with you.

You don't even need a day off work, its on a SUNDAY!! What I do need ASAP, is a $49 deposit, or someone will take your spot

I currently have 9 people confirmed for this event, so I need another THREE (3) people who are interested in the event, and able to give me a $49 deposit

Let me know if you're interested

Rick

We'll see how this one goes, if I can't get the numbers I'll have to knock it back

Had the full dozen people organised before but some people are not as serious about it when it comes to getting serious :(

Its $149 for the morning session..... only 12 cars tho :)

Full now, thanks :)

skid pan is so boring, all you do is **** up your car, and if you cant learn to to drive your own car, then i dont think an instructor will help you, sorry guys i just think its a waste of time and money to go somewhere just to rip hellies in the wet and try to control it, you can do that on a rainy day( for you people who have balls)

I don't even know how to respond to that verbal diahorrea.

Your doing a fantastic job in cementing yourself as the biggest tool on this forum.

I reckon its the best way to learn how to control understeer and oversteer, plus it's handy to slide out spin and lose control when there is no gutter/tree/car/person/etc etrc to possibly collide with.....

I had an absolute blast the last time i went on the Skidpan.... I feel that my knowledge of the car increased 10 mill fold. Now i know/can predict, when my car is likely to spin out.... what understeer feels like and how to control it, plus IT'S LEGAL FUN.

On a second note.... I reckon "L" and "P" platers SHOULD do a course on the skid pan and Figure 8 track, to help them understand that not all car's are like the one's in the movies... and to also show them how easy it is to get in to trouble.... but that's a different thread....

Cheers

Lawrence

omg....i don't think you have ANY idea about what you are talking about. I don't even want to know how many people you kill in your car! or how you kill your car...cause with your attitude, thats the direction you're heading in!

    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi
    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
    • I haven’t pulled the injectors to watch them spray yet but they are clicking from the cas and all of the spark plugs are wet with fuel. I’ve thought the cylinders were being flooded from the beginning and was hoping fuel pressure would fix it. Tonight I am going to pull the rail and watch the injectors spray. Don’t know how to test/diagnose if the plugs are firing in correct sequence but that should be a timing thing and as far as timing goes my car still has the half moon for the cas can only install it 1 way. And my mechanical timing is 100% correct I posted photos above. Confirmed with the balancer on and off.
