guys thanks for the heads up on the blues smoke.... apparently this was coming from under the car as the blue Redline gearbox fluid was leaking onto the hot pipe and underbody.... as Clarkey suspected.

well let's hope that is all:D

tru that :D ah well the money I save on fuel is slowly going into building my RB25DET for a transplant.... soon my pretty... soon.... muhahaha

Farken gotta pay $200 for the R32 and R33 japanese service manuals grr... sucks major ass, but I need it desperately if I'm to transplant engines n stuff myself. The english service manuals suck, esp that 250 dollar garbage that dosen't cover the new transmission on post 1991 GTS's.

I still can't help but smile when I recall the story you were telling me outside the bakery, about the cop pulling you over and looking for the turbo. I look forward to the day you've got the new beast... if I could help with a workshop manual I would, but I've only got an R32 GTR workshop manual. Why not transplant an RB26DETT then you can use my manual :aroused:

Once again, thanks to everyone involved in the running and driving the cruise.

James, if you'd like a passenger on a scouting run, I'd be more than happy to fill the seat :D

lack of $$$ to buy an RB26. also lack of spare parts, I've gotta upgrade too many things with an RB26, with an RB25 its pretty easy (plus I've already bought a turbo and manifold for it hehe)

Okay, so I filled up today for the first time since the cruise...

423km total. 62.44L added to tank - 14.76l/100km.  :thankyou:

Filled up last night [ultimate]:

460km total, 55 L added - 11.95l/100km ~ probably my worst figure ever :P

A normal cruise up the country I would have got 550kms out of that much fuel, my best was around 9.5l/100km but thats fairly rare [& relaxed driving]!

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
