cheers dude. i dont have money to spend on the latest/greatest but thats not really such a bad thing. came up with an idea to make the rig more stable. going to give it a try today and see if it works out.

sorry, double post.

tried a different kind of rig mounting. still needs something to make it more stable. with access to materials and the right tools I reckon I could make it solid enough for my G12 to get slower shutter speeds happening.

GoPro has a set aperture, can't remember what it is though. Pretty sure it's 130° angle. I bought one a couple of weeks ago, absolutely love it! One of my best impulse buys :P

Here's a quick time lapse I made with it, please excuse the shitty editing and my horribly ugly mug! I'm working on my editing skills, but I doubt there is much a can do about the face!

I'll upload some photos when my Internet isn't 20gb over my cap!

Edit: I can't embed it on the iPhone :(

yeah, like NA said, its a set aperture and full auto exposure. It has a 170° angle so swapping to another camera would mean less of a view. it was fun to do but i dont think i'll be doing much refinement on it. ultimately having a full quick release setup would be nice as its a pain to get in and out the house and to unbolt, lol. i can picture in my mind the kind of hardware i would need to make it better, but its a cost i cant justify for a few shots. i have a couple of other projects that need to be finished first.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
