Well, i got it done. Borrowed a roller from my mate and used it successfully to do the right hand side, but then the fkn thing kept breaking on me. Just keep breaking and stripping the thread on the bolts that came with it, so wend and bought some decent ones instead of the cheap chinese shitty ones that came with it. As it was my first time doing it, it didnt come out amazing but im happy enough, then the heat gun broke and i decided to try and do the left hand side anyway. Bad idea, the paint cracked straight away and looks pretty crappy, but the flare was much better.

All in all im prety happy with how its sits just a bit shitty that i cracked the paint, but it was my first time so meh. Will get some better pics up tomorrow!

mate looks good tho

dude that looks sick. nice and low

Cheers guys, came out allright for my first time i reckon

have you driven it yet? Whats the scrubbing like if any? Looks pretty sweet though

Nah not yet mate, it does scrub a little though, the guard roller couldnt do some parts of the wheel arch so i have to give it the once over with the hammer haha

Good effort. Make sure you give the inner guard skin way up in the wheel arch some hammer lovin' too.

Like right up the very top, or about 5cm up the guard there is a slight bump in the guard skin that come out, can i hammer that flat as well or will it f**k the outside of the guard?

I'd raise it just a tad and chuck in some neg camber, there is slight adjustment standard, I think it's 3 degrees or something? Other then that looks pretty neat, just stay clear from the popo

Do you actually plan on driving it around like that?

Have to drive it like that at least once :P

Okay, do you adjust it on the camber arm itself or is it somewhere on the hub? Will have a look tomorrow.

SA is a brutal state when it comes to having cars looking cool like that mate. Looks awesome, goodluck with keeping it defect free if driven like that :D

Very true Krish and unfortunately, the very 1st cop that sees it will throw the book at it.

One thing that you should be aware of Josh, displaying your plates on here can get you a letter in the post asking demanding you present your car for full inspection

Thanks pete i was flamed for attempting to provide guidance but im old and crusty lol

Sapol will love it ,

stance and adelaide roads are a mismatch of potholes and tearing you car apart

Good luck driving it in any form or passengers in it

Tax money hard at work ya right Fix the potholes

Ahh okay thanks pete, will keep that in mind in future posts.

I have driven it around at this height for the last 10 months, and the police have given zero f**ks about it, i have never been pulled over in those 10 months. That said, i do understand the second they do pull me over, i'm pretty well screwed haha. I don't live in Adelaide, so those roads aren't of any concern to me :)

I can't believe you just said 'stanced'.

Jesus.

Drive it around a little bit, then look under the arches. If you see a clean spot, hit it. Use some caution, don't go demolishing shit with a 20lb hammer, and it'll be fine.

    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
    • So, now all you need to do is connect the 2 or 3x 12v feeds into the unit to permanent 12v, ACC 12V and IGN 12V that you can find in the spot behind the stereo, and the earth, and then it will switch on with the car.
