Gosh $36k and not even an 'import'. Im thinking a VQ would be on par with a N/A rb25 if not better due to its higher displacement. No doubt the interior of the 350z are awesome, just curious as to how good it would be in stock form - say the track spec one's. Never driven a car at the showroom's before, is there alot involved before they let you give one a go I wonder..

Nope, just go in, say you've got ca$h, you sign the waiver saying you're responsible for any damage or speeding tickets and most good dealerships hand you the keys.

Hot damn, did i read the price right? $26995.00.

Might as well wait for SED's... they'll have better contrast, better response and will be a hell of a lot cheaper in that size.

plasmas don't permanently burn anymore .... I left ours on one arvo with a DVD paused for about 5 hours, and when I came back and changed channel you could see the burn-in of the image - I thought OMG I have killed my $15k plasma :( .... however I read the manual and as instructed turned the plasma off for 10 seconds, and when I turned it back on it was 100% perfect! Phew!

lol the only time an aussie male reads the manual is when it involves a 15k tv :(

yeah, they even bought insurance for you, was going to buy a cooper S and took it for a LONG test drive (with no salesman next to u). all i remember is if i total it, it will only cost me $1500 or so :(

also test drive a 350Z track spec, GREAT chassis, forgiving handling, good brake, very nice seat.

But plastic interior, boring exhaust note even at high rev and "too" linear power delivery

the financial situation then go downhill, never test drive any new car since :)

Hi Maxx :O

Yep, i was invited for a test spin in a cooper s.. but didn't take up their offer. i did take the 06 honda civic out for a long spin (few hours), they were cool about it. i found main north nissan renault weren't so keen to give me the keys to their clio sport though. :)

If its that easy then Im going to get down to my local Nissan dealer - Lakeside Nissan. :P

Duc, I drove a family friends RX8 a couple of years ago, he was tossing up between a 350Z but couldn't get it up his steep driveway. :)

It's no Skyline as far as performance but damn was it smooth, revs beautifully, and the looks are just killer IMHO.

There's actually a black one for sale at my work. No idea how much though.

I remember seeing a white 350z a while back with what looked to have had nismo bodykit options that had the most nicest exhaust note for a NA, far better then vtec. But yes, I wouldnt get one for performance wise but rather comfort, style and luxy as far as affordable luxy sports cars go considering it has bose system and leather seats.

That cima is indeed pimping, Japan do know how to make cars but more importanly style them with great aftermarket options.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
