Steering Wheel Felt Heavy All The Sudden

Just driving along normally around town and noticed the steering wheel felt slow and heavy, went home and checked and topped up all fluid levels and checked Tyres, p/s pump sounded fine. When full lock and let go it returns to the centre slowly but I have to help it to do so. Please help...

(car is gtt r34, manual, 100000km)

Hi mate dont konw if this helps but my 32 done same thing was a fuse.

I was going to say it could be a fuse, and the other electrical thing I have seen was that the power wire for the heater on the oxy sensor runs in the same loom as the power steering switch wire, and if there is a big enough problem with the oxy sensor heater (ie, it shorts) then the cables can melt, which tends to kill the power steering too. Happened on my car and took a long time to work out what it was.
