this is wat happened, when i got my big turbo and injectors all put in and tuned, my tuner didnt put the pintal caps on the end of the injecors, which then causeed the o rings to push out into the fuel rail, which then i had back fire issues and dropping a cylinder, number 6....i took it back then he said its running fine and said i had fuel pressure problems, i then got a new FRP, put that in and then he said, number 6 injector has been modifiied and drilled out which causing it to run like shit (PE 850cc brand new)..then one weekend took out the rail to have a look at injecors and noticed all o rinngs were pushed out and no pintal caps....i then put stock ones on to get it back to the shop the next day, then drrove up and on way up number 2 injector was leaking, towed it to shop, tryed starting it then it hydrauliced it self.....then he spends 3 days on it, dryed out all cylinders, new oil, new filter, new plugs, new pintal caps, re tuned it for a safe tune, im now running 0.90 bar boost, before i was running 1.40 bar....and everytime i boost it its back fires, platters, shudders the car and flamage.....my tuner reacons "myself" f*ked the llife span on my motor and he doesnt want to boost it due to bores being a lil glazeed.........

thats my probllem, sorry for the loong story but had to give it out, so u understannd....

thanks guys...

It is true though because a workshops buisness can be affected by this sort of bad reporting, even if it may not have been their fault because we weren't getting the full story.

Once again everyone jumping on the band wagon. Were any of you there to see what had happened? Able to comment from personal experience. Considering he has named the shop I suggest everyone takes a second thought about posting about his abilities without knowing first hand what happened.

To start with: Why does your 'brand new' PE injectors come without pintle caps?

The story smells a little bit. There is more to it than what you are saying

Fair enough we don't know the story. But installing injectors isn't difficult for qualified mechanics but by the looks of it this guy couldn't even do that right and then suggest the bores are glazed is also stupid

Yeah that's true but we are also relying on the OP's description of the event. Sometimes people do not relay 100% of the information. Maybe the tuner described the possible side effects of a leaking injector?

The customer installed the injectors himself? Or maybe has done other things which has brought about the initial problem? Like supplying his own injectors that didn't come with pintle caps

Ok so there was more to the story but that doesnt change the hard facts. Is he not boosting it up any further because it has the standard injectors back in it?

Have you got to the bottom of why the injector stayed open?

If you are not sure about a tuner or mechanic go and talk to another one but just remember that they are humans and that they see and do things differently to each other. There are many ways to do alot of things, but go with the facts and start at the beginning check over everything and if it all looks ok then put it behind you. Have you checked to see if the glazing of the bore is only on the fuel affected cylinder or accross the six equally. if its the same on all six then it wasnt the fuel and it was like that before.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
