There's not many alternatives in the way of ffp's for rb25's. There's the greddys, the knock off greddys and plazmaman and maybe one or two others like a hyper tune one.

The greddy is similarly priced to the plazmaman from memory.

Is that not Plazmaman's fault for not adjusting to the market and shipping it off to China like everyone else has then? :)

End of the day you've gotta play in the market you are in. A lot of top performance places in Aus (and Japan) have been sourcing from O/S for quite a number of years and lower production costs and keep profits and still selling things at affordable prices.

There is the part about Aussie jobs etc, but that is the fault of the Government for poor policy & rising costs here in Aus & competitiveness of China, not the businesses themselves

Could not have been put better.

Yeh there is alot of copies all over eBay for all RB engines and yes I was tempted till for jokes I put in a offer to a company ..... the plenum was 600 and i offered them 300 and tjey said yes and i was like Shit somethin is dodgey here :S

I got recommended these by a mechanic who won't use any other type, if he cant get a plazmaman for the engine he is building he custom makes them , wont use any others cause of bad experiences

Proven at least 15whp gain alone , thats using the stock throttle body, altough if u add a plazmaman throttle body its dyno proven to add another 20whp on top of the gain from the plenum .... I will be doin tests myself so i will let u know how it goes as I have the plenum and throttle body from them goin in this weekend

Yeah, and so do the ebay electric intake fans

So u can return these for full refund if they dont ????? Or let me guess no refunds on them .... these are quality cnc and hand made plenums ur argument with cheap ebay crap is not valid

So, youre saying I could bolt on a Plazmaman plenum to a RB25 and If I dont make an extra 20rwhp with the stock turbo and no tuning I can send it back?

Also...why are there 3 or 4 results straight off the top of my head where cars went backwards after fitting one

both RB20 and RB25

Well I cant find any results for plamaman plenumd sending a car backwaronly good news , there is plenty for the cheap copies everyone is goin on about though , and seriously i doubt a company claims a gurantee claim on intake fans , i bet it days up to 30hp gain , that way idiots believe it and the company isnt liable when they put it in and get no results or imo worse results cause to me it just seems like a block

    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
    • Wouldn’t touch par if they gave it to me. You need to ask how much power you’re looking to make and then add about 50% to it because that’s what you’ll end up making  The factory box says no more at about 350kw or so, the upgraded synchro boxes won’t handle much over 500kw for long and at that point you’re looking at an auto or dog engagement manual,  once you’ve gone dog engagement you may as well go sequential, they cost a little bit more but it’s worth it  also while you’re at it you should upgrade the transfer case with 10 friction plates
