Hey everyone,

I am after some Tie Rod Ends for my R33 GTR.

The genuine nissan ones are around $100 each, are there cheaper after market alternative's available?

Also is it best practice to just replace the worn out one, or replace both left and right?

Called them up, said they are marked for the R33 GTs-T, and in the comments says "Will not fit R33 GTR"...dammit lol.

I might go and grab them anyway as i am in the area. If they fit, they fit. Otherwise can return.

$35 like you said.

Have you used those ones on a R33 GTR before xalmon?

Checked out the ones i got from Bursons.

No go, they are heaps smaller then the ones i have on there.

Didn't even bother to fully open them up as they won't fit.

Ill try pedders, otherwise I think i will just go genuine from Nissan for $100 each :(

Definatley looked on eBay, I do need the outer tie rod ends.

the ones being sold for the R33 GTR, are not compatible. More so of a scam/false advertising. Check out the pics in both the R33 "4WD" and RWD ones, pics are of the same item. They are the exact same ones i got from Bursons. Probably sweet for a R33 GTS-T, but the R33 GTR part is different. Its quite bigger physically. Its a bit fatter and the thread at the top is longer.

I have done a search on a forums for the ones sold on eBay, found a user stating they don't fit. He could have gotten his money back, but as usual you have to pay return shipping. Probably voiding any effort of a refund.

Ended up just ordered some in over the phone from my local nissan dealership.

$111 for one >_<

Not sure if ill do the other one at the moment, as it has no play....

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
