Pull the fuel pump fuse and crank it

Should fire in the residual fuel in the cylinders

Sounds like the injectors are stuck open for some reason

Yeah this.... Give that a go.... Shouldn't be able to hydraulic lock one of these engines.... When the lines were backwards you would have had a heap of fuel pressure so maybe, but not now.....

I know fuel systems lol

Just don't let me touch it or it'll never go again!

Martin, too much rain?

Martin, too much rain?

when running slicks any amount of rain is to much rain

still first event run and suprised how much grip was available even though the track was wet to very wet all day

stopped raining just long enough to dry out a little bit and managed to set a decent time on the last run of the day

was first in class all day and managed a fourth outright in a field of 45 cars so not a bad effort

just cant beat 4WD in the wet

Good afternoon everyone

I need some tech help that I'm hoping someone can help me with

I have some vids from yesterday and need them edited to be able to upload them to Facebook or hosted on YouTube so wondering if anyone can help with this please

Thanks

im in birmingham gardens. it was suffering from hydralic lock which has been cured by accidently spraying a mate with petrol (he is okay now). the new problem is it is cranking but not igniting. so im thinking when the bosch spark plugs got submerged in water they died. we've called it quits for today. it also has a semi flat battery. its at 11v with the ignition off and drops to 3v during cranking so weve been using the forester to jump it. so at this stage im thinking ill invest in a set of ngk plugs, some new oil and then i need to get some fuel to my place from the servo as im running too low to make it to a servo when she does come back to life. also has anyone had any issue with bosch plugs?

See if u can borrow a set of coil packs from someone to, could be them, the stock packs are shit house.

Feel free to whore away :-)

I've been busy with work :domokun:

im trying to catch up on all the work ive missed getting everything sorted for my apprenticeship next week

BTW

when is the next cruise?

has there been a thread made or what?

ANT!!!! :)

Just a quick question for you all

Who would be keen for a come and try day at the local hillclimb track on the 16th Feb?

Cost is $25 from memory but not sure on car requirements yet as far as extinguisher etc goes.

That sounds pretty cool....

Can you hit pretty fast speeds on that hillclimb track or is it fairly slow and twisty

What do you call fast?

You can go as fast as you like just remember you have to keep on the track though or shit gets real in a hurry

    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me

    • Yep four point harness. Mounted to a bolted in brace running behind the seats. Dont use it for daily driving tbh but good to have for when its needed plus it looks cool.
