So whats a good body shop in Newcastle? Deciding whether to get my paint and whatnot fixed here or back in Port Macquarie. Anyone have any experience and might be able to guesstimate a price. Its basically mostly plastic bumpers for the most part.

What needs doing?

- Front Bar respray, mild scrapage damage on the lower lip.

- Small section on rear quarter panel, no bigger then your hand size.

- Rear bar, full respray. Has bad paint chippage in bottom left corner.

-Maybe Spoiler

Never had to have plastic parts repaired. I noticed with the chipping paint on this stock rear bar I bought yesterday its pretty deep stuff (the distance between topcoat of paint and base of bumper, its millimeters). Is it just body filler > plastic primer?

Go to P&A Auto Repairs in Melbourne St, East Maitland. It will be easier for them to quote you if you go there in person with your car.

I can vouch for the quality of their work, tell them Benji sent you over as I know the main guys who work there (Mick - owner, Phil - manager) so they will take care of you mate. They don't do things half-arsed.

Wont be happening for months. Cars in Port Macquarie where its being stored while I gather parts. Once its done, its coming back here for tune and possibly paint. Will definitely keep them blokes in east maitland in mind. THeres a huge fancy Orange building near my house called Steve K**** Smash Repairs (forgot his last name lol). Might go see what theyr like when the time comes. Ill see if I can come to the cruise if my daily gets fixed up. Housemate somehow manged to drive his car into my daily peugeot in our hill driveway and he has pushed my exhaust on it and its fowling under the car and leaking pretty bad. Hoping to get it fixed this week sometime. Rego also this week so ima be super poor by the end of it lol.

Pretty sure I was the only skyline (R34) in Salt Ash/Nelson Bay on the weekend. Saw no one and was driving all day :(

Quite a few around the Terrace lately but mainly 32's and 33's with the occasional 31 in the mix....

Only time i see 34's is when we go cruising!

Actually, on that note and COMPLETELY stuffing up what i just wrote, saw a blue GTR in the terrace with the number plate 34GTR? Possibly gold rims? Wasnt Norm i know that much!

yea i dont know of many in the area. i grew up there, but only rarely take mine up there, mainly for servicing at my brothers work ha.

I am not a huge fan of yellow, but.... that yellow on that GTR is simply amazing. Love it.

On the side note - I was actually quite surprised on who knew what a Skyline as down there. A 10 year old even knew what it was...

But yeah - actually saw none in newcastle area :( However, it was pouring down with rain

I saw that blue GTR on carsales 34GTT - it's like 1k for the plates as well or something

keen to have a go at that man. let me know when the next MG hill climb sign up is martin. so keen to get into hill climbs after that wooten run!

We both joined the MG car club last week so we can get amongst the hill climbs ;)

Saw that same car the other day at the Subway thats near the 7Eleven / Maccas after the Hexham bridge. Plates read 34GTTR and it has Volk GTC wheels. Its a GTT, standard rb25 exhaust note. Really nice car though, looked immaculate.

    • Hi guys . Can someone help me  I bought an Android screen for my Nissan fuga but it won't turn on
    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
