Why on earth would you haha sorry factory radios are good doorstops

Fm mod which will sound horrible and struggle with jap freq bands

Depending on the car solder jacks on it

Or ipod to rca depending on the radio

Ten more ways

Really its not worth it buy even a cheap deck and your way ahead

Yeah I know, I hear what you're saying. I just sold my V35 that I'd put a bit of work/money into (had to downgrade in cost). Got a stock standard R34 and don't want to put any extra dollars into it.

I don't want a fm modulator, can you explain the other option/s? Thanks.

Mate

Its not worth it really , buy a 100-150 dollar radio ? They suck balls that bad even a 60 dollar radio is upgrade but might not have the features you need

give chris rogers a call off here see what he can do for ya first ?

99.9 % of the time on that vintage of cars unless you have the exact parts already its a waste of labor to interface

Anyway

Its hard to say r34 came with at least 4 or 5 configurations / options for radios depending on the year and options ... would have to see what it had in it now????? To point you in the right direction - buy a new radio and be done lol

mate i picked up a 30 dollar unit for my old 73 mini brand new form supercheap, dvd player usb and aux in for the i phone. 4 x 40 w that was better than my standard crap.

obviously i wouldnt put something costing 30 bucks in my skyline but hey im a twat.

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.

    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
