Hypergear?

Kando?

Check them out in the forced induction section

Yeah as mentioned hypergear and kando turbo's are not quite close enough, although the hypergear ATR45 is close but on border being close enough.

the 3540 isnt overly expensive, compared to some of the smaller ones ie gt30's.

have you thought about going to a 3788? slightly bigger but uses the large frame bearing cartrige and T4 housings. good for 450-500kw at a stretch.

or pickup an ex BA/BF xr6 turbo and change to the normal garret housings?

That is a good suggestion, there'd probably be a few second handers out there you could pick up for cheap. They come with a 1.06 turbine housing standard don't they?

How much power is this car owner wanting to make and is that power on 98 (assuming so). Precision turbos are looking pretty good from the latest couple of results in the precision turbo thread. They have the option of bb or plain depending on your budget as well

The twin scroll setup on jez's car had pretty good response for the power IMO, but then again he was flex fuel.

How much boost is the owner of the car wanting to run?

Whatever you decide, street to track has great prices on any Garrett turbos (he can probably get precision turbos aswell) and they will arrive within a week. The aud is great at the moment as well!

I've had a ATR45 in.82 rear agers ago. That core is interchangable with a Ford XR6 BA turbo.

Planning to run between 18-24psi as it was tuned running 22psi mind you the engine has a fair bit of internal mods hence why the plan is to go for the large turbo.. We did look at the precision 6765 with a .8 rear. Which would give 500rkw which would lower the boost level down a little with more to play with.

Btw Thanks for all your imput guys.

    • Plan on the day will be to park trackside. Depending on space availability we will try put a small shade tent and a few of the cars on top of the hill inside turn 3, this is an easy to get to parking area with views of Turn 2, Turn 3, Turn 4 and Turn 5 and limited other pieces of the view around the track. IMPORTANT NOTE! One consideration from previous years is from memory the trackside parking sells out before the admission tickets, for that reason I encourage anyone planning on coming to buy tickets for parking now via the official website; https://www.worldtimeattack.com/ The type of parking you are looking for is 2 Day Park & View (Access Around Venue) Vehicle Pass Only Please note this does not include admission to the event itself, remember to grab that also, and kids under 12 get in for free!

    • Good time for a carbon roof
    • Not in any way aroused by any of those, except maybe the big AMGs. And that would break my never a Euro, ever, rule.
