I'm 24 hours away from finding out if I will get my wish and be driving a stagea soon !!!!

Got a link so we can check it out?

I've got a nismo 260rs. It's got suspension, brakes, air filter, exhaust, ecu and possible clutch upgrades. I'd imagine the mines spec would have similar upgrades.

Nice ! That's what I'm lookin at too ( white 97 260rs ) it's from not the most reputable place but I've had a quick look and I've a mate who knows a bit about his nissans . And Thanx to the buyers guide thread it's made it a bit easier . Fingers crossed find out about finance tommorow ! http://www.edwardlees.com.au/stock?model=Stagea&make=NISSAN it's the one at the bottom .

Try Google translator or similar. Mines make good stuff and charge an arm and a leg for it. You might find the ecu is not tunable though.

Highly recommend you get a professional to do an inspection and comp test. I can guarantee the mileage is wrong and you may have some trouble with the aftermarket alarm that's fitted. Apart from that it looks half decent for the price

Good idea with the comp test big Dan . I think I've a leeway of 20k with any import as most would like to play with clicks so 100k service is in order straight away . 3 month dealer warranty is a fall back too and I've had to use it on a previous car from a highly regarded ford dealer ! ( rebuild bottom end and rebuilt gearbox and various other parts ! ) finance condition is buy from a dealer too . I've not seen auction sheet either but have not asked for it yet but will , and any funny business I'll be pulling out .

    • Hah, fair enough! But if you learn with this one you can drive any other OEM manual. No modern luxury features like auto rev-matching or hillstart assist to give you a false sense of confidence. And a heavy car with not that much torque so it stalls easily.
    • Actually, I'd say all three are the automatic option. Just the different trim levels. The manual would be RSFS, no?
    • What Duncan said sounds right. Also, it looks like they only have the driver's mat. Not the rest. Because looking at the diagram: KG4911 is just the mat for the driver. KG4900 is the full set if I'm not mistaken and discontinued.   But, it looks like they may still have the full set for the manual S2. Might be worth checking for the other models as well as they seem slightly different. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/stagea/wgnc34/6649-rb25det/misc/G49 Man, I'm tempted.
    • I dunno about that as a blanket statement. Pitwork is Nissan's "Nissan genuine" thing, and for stuff like timing belts, I have found them to be excellent. Of course, for things like oil filters, you always use proper trusted brands anyway, not whatever the OEM has taken to using.
    • Ahhhh... If you were putting 12V to the led in there, that's likely made it very unhappy. Chances are how you put power, was 12V across an LED that's meant to only have about 20mA through it at peak, and a forward voltage of about 1.8 to 2.4 volts. That circuit is likely only a 3V3 circuit, and will have a resistor in series with the led too. That's my guesstimate on that light, without having touched one.
