R34 Gtr Brembo's Onto R33 Gts-T?

I have got a set of R34 brembo's that have been helicoiled for the gts-t size hub thread but having a problem with the rears, they seem to have a different bolt SPACING. About 5mm difference.

With the top bolt in the bottom bolt won't line up. Has anyone done this conversion? Seems to be very little info online for what would seem to be a popular conversion. Do I get GTR hubs?

Would that change the length/size of drive shafts, shock mounting points etc? Do I weld up the stock hubs and re-drill the holes? Any help would be great

If you get r34 gtr rear hubs they are alloy and you will need to get different shocks also to suit the lower mount.

GTRs used an aluminium upright or "knuckle" in the rear and the foot style of shock absorber is different . GTRs have an inverted fork where GTS25Ts have a conventional rubber encapsulated eye for a single bolt . GTRs had larger heavier axle joints and brakes so needed to save some weight somewhere .

The aluminium would not reliably support a single bolt so they had a rubber bush with a crush tube pressed into a thick section of the aluminium to spread the load . The fork straddles the bushes crush tube and locates with a through bolt and nut .

Possibly a bit late now but you may have been able to space your std calipers out with adapter plates so they fitted over GTR sized discs , its an easy conversion if suitable safe plates are available .

Okay that sounds like new coilovers, but also maybe other bits, heard something today re series 1 and series 2 having different hubs (GTS-t). The guy that had them heilcoiled said they were to fit R33 hubs.

Anyone know if there is any difference there?

I may need adapter plates and bigger discs but trying to find a less painfull solution

Has this really never been attempted before???? Hard to belive no one has tried....
