Ignition Issue Stagea Rsfour 1997

Driving car early this morning, stopped at servo, turned off, locked up. Came back, car started and turned lights on then it stalled. Now have no ignition, doesn't crank/click or prime fuel pump, no dash lights but still beeps when key is in ignition and door open, interior light working. Have changed all of the fuses under the dash (only one busted which was an accessory - the cigarette lighter one) and the ignition blade fuse under the bonnet. Main switch working, swapped one of the abs/sunroof long green clip type fuses into the ignition position and still nothing. Is there are relay or breaker somewhere that i cannot see? Any advice would be great as have had to leave it at a servo overnight.

Sounds like all the battery circuit stuff is working but the main ignition circuit has failed. Long shot but I actually had a very similar issue for a while and traced it to the main ignition harness connector on the back of the interior driver's-side fuse panel.

I confirmed the issue by manually manipulating the really thick wires going into the top of the fuse panel and watching the ignition-operated stuff (like the instrument cluster) flash on and off.

The main harness connector (smallish, thick wire going in, only one or two terminals I think very vague menmory). It was making a poor connection. I removed the fuse panel and sanded and manipulated the connector on the plug to make better contact and that fixed it.

tried the battery. was going to try to dead wire the ign in engine bay directly to battery but i will have a look behind the fuse panels and see what i can find. Thanks guys!
