RB25 ECU with RB25 head, will run ok in stock form.

Wouldn't drive it hard or anything like that however

as long as the ecu matches the head's sensors, it will be fine. From there modify it like any motor, eg if you make major changes like turbo or injectors you really need a retune.

interesting. might get it going again. sold off the wolf3d ecu and big turbo etc. might get it running atleast till abit later on

Just don't run more than stock boost as the extra capacity, 7psi on a 3ltr will be closer to 10psi - the ECU could well start having a bit of a hernia and going R&R on you as a result, so just be mindful of that if it does start acting a little strange if you load it up a bit.

Obviously you'll get gains from a tune, and really you don't want to be putting a stock turbo back on there anyway. Will still run with a different turbo as long as it's not too big. I could get away with a GT30 on a RB25 driving arough light throttle (and stock everything else) till it was tuned

Last one i saw ran like poo as Ash said it went into r&r due to the extra airflow through the afm.

A tune with a NIStune sorted that out.
