Might be worth getting a manual radiator, and putting in an external auto trans cooler. Removes a possible point of failure.

There seems to be a few on eBay with the inbuilt auto trans cooler: http://www.ebay.com....R-/310427669186

The stock one is pretty crap in my experience (I replaced mine recently).

I also managed to fit a 53MM China ebay radiator direct fit for a manual.

(ASI - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/386081-ebay-aftermarket-radiators/page__p__6158297__hl__ebay%20china%20radiator__fromsearch__1#entry6158297) and it's been really good to me since then.

Mind you, I have an external cooler for the trans, and had one already before getting the new radiator. The stock 16mm one was pretty flakey for me even after flushing etc, maybe just under-spec for aussie or just getting on in years. In any case I can relate to your predicament :P

if you find that your water temp is rocketing, time for an oil cooler.. that will keep things at bay..

it's because RB25DETs used a water/oil heat exchanger which is used to warm up the oil and also cool it.. but once you start modding it and oil temps sky rocket, resulting in the water boiling.
