was expecting them to have folded by now

when was the last time anyone was seen using one (apart from, very overtly, Lewis in those promo pics)

Guess you haven't been following tech news?

They're trying to come back and investing heaps into their new phone(Has been a long time coming) which was just released in the UK, I believe.

With the current fall of apple, companies are trying to steal "back" the share of the market that was lost to apple in the first place.

I agree with the gold comment earlier.

I've never liked it.

Nico Rosberg says he had a "good feeling" about his W04 right up until an electrical problem caused the car to stop.

Driving Mercedes' new car on the very first day of pre-season testing, Rosberg's running came to an end in a fiery manner after just 11 laps.

The German came to a halt out on track during the morning's session with unburnt fuel in the exhausts igniting resulting in flames briefly licking the rear right of the car.

With a fault in a wiring loom deemed to be the cause, Mercedes called it quits for the day in order to make the necessary repairs.

But despite only having a brief run on Tuesday, Rosberg is feeling positive about his new challenger.

"At the start of winter testing, you often encounter small issues because the car you're running is a brand new design," said the German.

"We had an electrical problem this morning and, once we had found the root cause, chose to modify the parts to make sure it didn't happen again.

"Of course, at this time of year all you want to do is spend time in the car and get a feeling for how it's working, but these hiccups are just part of the game.

"During the laps I completed this morning, I had a good feeling with the car and it felt solid."

Toro Rosso are looking to change to Renault engines in 2014 in order to take advantage of their relationship with Red Bull.

At present reigning World Champions Red Bull use Renault engines while Toro Rosso, the junior team, are powered by Ferrari.

However, the Faenza-based squad is keen to swap suppliers, which would allow them to incorporate Red Bull's gearbox into their own car.

"We are in negotiations with Renault and then we will see. No contract has been signed so far," said team boss Franz Tost. "This for sure would be an advantage because if you are racing with a Renault engine we would have the same gearbox as Red Bull, because this is possible from the regulation side.

"We will use the synergies that the regulations will allow us to do."

    • I'd be worried about having to parallel park a boat like that. Magnificent car though.
    • This car has run before on this z32 ecu can get the part number for you, I have tried with no AFM it didn’t change anything, I compression tested today 140-150 across all 6 cylinders, also set fuel pressure to 43psi. The only weird thing was cylinder 1 plug was black and fouled other 5 cylinders were just wet with fuel. Spun cas by hand and confirmed injectors are clicking

    • A 1.5 way is a 2 way. It is just a 2 way with a less aggressive ramp on overrun.
    • The ABS and/or TCS being missing/broken will not cause the engine to misbehave. It just casues CEL to come on and annoy you. The CEL is useless if it is always on, so you have to do the things you have to do to get rid of it, so it can be useful. Being a Stag ECU, then yes, it will not expect TCS to be present. But it will expect ABS to be present and working. You will need to either make the ABS CU talk to the ECU (don't ask me what that will take on an NA R34), and make sure the hardware is working....or, you just need to blank it out in Nistune. Do not persist with the stock ECU. You will just have problems. Gte it Nistuned. Start from there. DO YOU HAVE A BOOST SENSOR? The ECU's boost sensor that it. It is connected to the loom at the rear of the coil cover. Usually rides on the firewall on an R34, but is usually bolted down to a bracket along with all the other crap at the back of the coil cover when a Neo is dropped into another car. If you do not have it, the ECU will shit the bed. So, do you have one?
