Sorry - I fail to see how sticking a comic on your wing is "pushing the boundaries"....

I have some respect for these guys because of the hands on approach, but this car sucks teh hairy balls, and only appeals to honda fanbois it seems

i think people missed the point of this car. Marty & Moog's season finale builds are always built with a certain amount of piss-taking (literally Moog's case) and satire. Just look at the TRD Laser and their Civic build.

In this case, the satire is less obvious because this is the fashion nowadays. But you can see the guys aren't taking this thing too seriously. Look at Moog constantly saying this is "what the kids are doing" and "the internet told me to" throughout the episode.

I'm still hoping for a final season eposide where they build the ultimate bogan commodore...

Would be pretty easy & cheap to do I reckon.

1) Buy cheap VN commodore

2) Chop the springs

3) Buy a set of 20"chromes from bob jay for the back + retain a set of factory steel wheels for the front

4) Buy some clear tail lights off + Unit/Skin etc etc sticker off ebay

5) Drill some holes into the exhuast for that epic V6 noise

6) Add the chev bage at the back (leave holden badge on front) for the final touch...

Any other steps I missed?

The chromies should be on the front of the VN with stockies on the rear for crazy single peggers or if you want to be a pro drifter welded diff for when you want to enter it in the D1GP

Thank you, I couldn't be bothered trying to explain it but you have done it for me.

I really enjoyed this episode and MCM is by far my fav channel on youtube

I disagree. There were elements of satire in there but their closing comments and interviews lead me to believe that they thought that build was cool. They then add a bit of satire to the program so they can sit on the fence, see peoples reactions and if many people hate it MCM say they were just taking the piss. Episode is fail.

I like the fact they are from the area I grew up in and as a previous poster said the DIY aspect of MCM is great but they destroy cars that a young fella on his Ps would love and modify. Hacking a Subaru Vivio in half was a travesty. I would love one of them right now.

Pffft... At least there not getting drunk and wrapping them around poles. Do you have any idea how many second hand cars there are in the market?? They are entertaining hundreds of thousands of people and using a few cars out of the millions on the road.

Quite a few of their cars have been sold onto new owners who absolutely love them.

    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi
    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
    • I haven’t pulled the injectors to watch them spray yet but they are clicking from the cas and all of the spark plugs are wet with fuel. I’ve thought the cylinders were being flooded from the beginning and was hoping fuel pressure would fix it. Tonight I am going to pull the rail and watch the injectors spray. Don’t know how to test/diagnose if the plugs are firing in correct sequence but that should be a timing thing and as far as timing goes my car still has the half moon for the cas can only install it 1 way. And my mechanical timing is 100% correct I posted photos above. Confirmed with the balancer on and off.
