up early and out.

Another awesome drive from South to North and through town via Mitchell on the way back.

Long line of traffic heading out to the Nats along Northbourne.

Happy to be travelling in the opposite direction

Thought I'd see a few nice cars in my travels, but no such luck.

Must all be inside the showgrounds. Last place I think I'd want to be today.

(Must be getting older/grumpier- crowds, kids and bogans shit me to tears)

Me too.

Teenagers not kids, im still a kid.

$12 garage floor seal today..... its not real permanent, but will keep the dust down for the next few months.

Should be enough time for a paintjob.

My floor makes a lot of dust, as i made the mix of cement a bit wrong on a couple of sections.

So a $12 bottle of pva glue, mixed with equal parts water, (8l gave 2 coats) and a $1 rolling sleeve.

First i swept, blasted it with a leaf blower about 5 times and finally a wash with a pressure washer to get the rest of the dust off, and make the concrete damp.

Pva glue is the same as Bondcrete, so i figured it should go well on concrete. A small test 6 months ago confirms it.

I saw a black R33 gtst in there on the show and shine, i should have put mine next to it

went to summernats for the first time with my GF, it was alright then what i thought of from others saying how bad it gets but we liked it not a big fan of the burnout so we slipped that area.

Wire Brushed/Sanded one of SkyWagon's tailgate struts - Was ugly with Rust. Painted it black and did the other one to match.

Gave the bolts a hit with the wire brush too but decided not to paint them cooz they came out nice and shiney. :)

Tightened the Handbrake. It almost works now. :D

Washed her well and gave the Bonnet a good Handjob Cut & Polish. Also polished off some Greasy Handprints... Many of those lately.

Put the other half bottle of injector cleaner in the 33s tank after filling her up.

Yes Bill! I Drove the 4Door today!

Pirtek in Fushwick or Industrial Supplies in Fushwick opposite shell. To get it welded I would do it for you just have to find time to sneak into my uni workshops otherwise if your in a rush Natrad (Phillip) can tig weld.

Righto thanks man, ill give them a buzz tomorrow and see if they can sort things out for me...

Such a nice thing to do, gave her a bit of a squirt ... pumped her full of juice ... and drove it home, that will always keep a girl happy!!

Well done mate, such caring brings a tear to my eye ..

hahahah o god! that made me cry in laughter :D

NEW Twin Blade wiper blades up front and a Good second hand one on the rear.

Cleaned off some of the dark splatter on the underside of the bonnet.

Fiddled with the Fuel Pump in the hopes it will be happier when getting low on fuel.

(the stock pickup filter sat in a different place on the GTS-t pump so I squeezed the GTS-t pickup filter in there instead.)

SkyWagon also did her First "Practical Car" Duties when we went to Tiny's Shed and bought a better outdoor table.

Now Richard won't be able to spill everyones coffee when he sits down.

Think I'm going to have to buy 2 NEW strut top bearings from NISSAN to stop a knock in the front suspension. :(

$163 each x 2 :O or $178 each from Repco.

My Free Replacement 27mm Nolathane Swaybar Bushes should be posted tomorrow. :)

Did a full detail on the GTR.

Turtle wax recently updated a few of their products. I tried some of it (will have to check names when i get home if people are interested). All in all pretty impressed. However i still found the meguiars nxt Gen wax 2.0 felt much thicker and smoother than the Turtle wax. However the turtle wax did an amazing job of bringing the colour back out. So i used the turtle wax first and then the meguiars. Looks fantastic.

The XC90 - Front struts, rear shocks, lower control arms, ball joints, top bearings, sway bar end links, inner and outer tie rods, strut bar mounts and timing belt... gave it a wash

washed the mondeo

GTR sat in the under the cover and i swept arount it :(

Got a Rego inspection done on the SkyWagon today. (NOT AT DICKSON) :P

Despite having Exhaust leaks, a Knock in the Front suspension (Strut Bearings) and Gearbox Weeping, it failed but only for Rear Brake Pads. :woot:

Stoked.

Also I bit the Bullet and bought a Pair of Strut top Bearings... Got Chatty with the guy at Repco and he did me a better price than Nissans Best.

Costly but Stoked. :)

Nissan was gonna be $163 each but could get for $150 each.

Repco was gonna be $178 each but got for $140 each.

oh and a secondhand EA Falcon Transmission Cooler arrived in the mail too.

    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
    • Lock me in mate, although I'm not sure if I'll be heading up from Goulburn or down from Sydney, either way, return will be back to Goulburn
    • Sounds good, we will aim to be there! @The Bogan I'll give you a shout if you are heading up to campbelltown for the meet too.
    • Before I get to the test day, just to finish off the android head unit. This is a demo from car start up....the standard/host system takes a few seconds to boot (same as all v37) but Android comes up quickly. In this vid I'm using the delivered launcher but have set the default to Agami since which is easier to navigate when if use primarily 5 apps. You can see the host system still takes over when required eg putting it in reverse, and you can switch between Android and not by holding the back button 3 sec. It is pretty responsive (fast) but you can see I had to press harder than expected a couple of times. I still have the phone connected to the stock system, and that also seamlessly takes over Android music playing. v37-android-demo.mp4 The bigger reason that I put this in though is so that I can use Ecutek directly on the head unit. That gives me a dash with logging (up to 20MB only), high and low value warnings on any parameter etc etc. I've run a USB cable from the Ecutek OBD dongle to a USB input on the unit, easy. v37-ecutek-demo.mp4 The unit did freeze on the launcher the other day, I think Agami was trying to verify the license when it didn't have a data connection...will monitor and report back if there are any other problems but so far I'm very happy with the upgrade.
    • Nah that is just crappy GPS mapping, I did have a small excursion (cold tyres, damp track, surprise!), will post up that when I get a chance.
