it was when I first got the car, wasn't running! the radiator was snapped in half

I also had to do the lower control arm in mine when I got it, they are a bitch!!

and rob, my rpm stops every now and again, any ideas? my mates 33 did the same thing

Somewhere between the engine and your eyeballs. :P

I'd try checking for loose wires / dodgy earthing. Could be in behind the cluster etc...

Not hard to pull out.

(once you've done it a few times) lol

Fibreglassing repairs today, all done.

The instructions say mix a certain amount so you can get it on before it hardens.

DIY Miks painting skills mean i can mix the whole tin and get it on good, well before it starts to harden. job done.

I was feeling so good until i remembered... the only way to get fibreglass off is a cold shower. :O:blink:

I found that out when helping dad fiberglass his sub box in the old f6 typhoon... not very nice!

Strongly recommend not letting your Skylines get so low on fuel that the fuel light comes on.

+1

I don't allow my GTR get below a qtr of a tank.

Listen or learn.

But just don't breeze over good advice, especially if you have modified your car.

got no mods, well no power mods, and I still don't let it go under a quarter

I have never had my fuel light on, and the gauge has been like 3mm under the empty line... and I sure as hell don't want to see if the bulb is broken

Make up your mind

I just made sure the intake is the same height as stock, and while i was there i could see how it gets the last bit of fuel.

Kinda dodgy baffles try to keep it near the pump, but a good corner or steep hill and it would run away and youd get air in the line.

After pulling it out and f-ing around trying to re-seal it, i still smell fuel inside the car sometimes. Have to do it again better this time. DIY LOL

Make up your mind

haha, it was heaps under when I got the car, didn't drive it, got a jerry can... im talking about I wont let it under while driving :P

but good spotting :/

As I said I've seen my fuel light come on once in 10 months. I normally fill up when it hits E, but my sender is not correct and I can only fit in 40-45 litres

It's like fuel cut.

It can do engines in if it occurs at the wrong time

Bit dramatic I know, but it happens.

(your better of stopping spark than stopping fuel)

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
