The D1R spokes recess back into rim a fair way towards the end, this is what will give me a problem if anything as Brembo rotors are bigger than standard which will push the calipers out towards these

Think i'm going to have to find a GTR with Brembo's and do a trial fit just to be sure

Had r33gtr brembos at the front with d1r 18x9j +15.

Though it's on a 200sx s14, it should clear on a r32/r34.

Recently changed to lmgt4 at the front 18x9.5j +12. clears front brembos heaps.

Cheers mate. Only got the fronts done. The rears are still pretty standard.

All parts purchased here, courtesy from SAU!

Yeah, awesome!

R33 GTR Brembo Calipers?

What 2 piece rotors are they?

Hey mate,

Yeah, calipers are r33gtr brembos. Rotors are from http://x3emotorsports.com/cart/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=6_196

Been using it for a couple of months now in my daily. No issues at all.

Can't say much about track, as I haven't done any track work yet.

hey mate,

how much did you pay for the 2pc rotors?

Cheers

Rotors look like DBAs.

Interesting... Good to see another local manufacture in the game.

Thanks for that.

Does anyone know if the Lenso D1R's in 18x10 with +20 offset will fit over a set of Brembo's?

Looking seriously at a set off an R34 at moment but don't want to buy another set of wheels as mine are brand new

Cheers

I recently bought dogbones and 324mm rotors on r32 sumitumo calipers. And the lenso 17x10+18 and the calipers are just touching the barrel of the rim so zero clearance so an inch bigger diameter wheel should give you plenty of clearance. Assuming the sumitumo is similar in size to the brembo.. The lenso d1r seems to be really crap for caliper clearance worse by far compared to all my other rims.

    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
    • Wouldn’t touch par if they gave it to me. You need to ask how much power you’re looking to make and then add about 50% to it because that’s what you’ll end up making  The factory box says no more at about 350kw or so, the upgraded synchro boxes won’t handle much over 500kw for long and at that point you’re looking at an auto or dog engagement manual,  once you’ve gone dog engagement you may as well go sequential, they cost a little bit more but it’s worth it  also while you’re at it you should upgrade the transfer case with 10 friction plates
