who's going to try them out first

What's the theory here??

By elliminating the striker gap the chassis is stiffer and the steering becomes more responsive........

Maybe if your driving an old Corolla but seriously a late model monocoque chassis.....

just cut up an old car tyre and jam it in there.

for it to do anything it would have to make the door harder to open and close. but i highly doubt that anyone would be able to notice the difference with or without them

Totally agree. The difference if any would be so negligible behind the steering wheel you wouldn't notice.

coming from TRD i wouldn't put it them the same boat as those making earth wire kits

I'm not sure if that was a smart arse remark or not.....

I'd assume they are some type of before and after chassis graph that's been put together buy a Japanese marketing guru at TRD.

Things don't even need to work for companies like TRD and nismo to market them.

Nismo upper arms for the R32.......

The brackets are good but the arms are the same

S chassis castor rod mounts

Same as factory painted silver......

Nismo engine mounts.....

Ever cut both types in half and seen the insides?

Same same just new.

A late model chassis like the 86 would not suffer from extreme chassis flex that would be felt at the steering wheel.

The marketing for these claims more responsive steering. Everyone I know who has punted one of the 86's hard has commented how good the steering is. Chassis flex mustn't be that bad.

If it was then there would be massive amounts of warranty claims from door skins rubbing on door jams taking paint off like the original 350z convertible had problems with

wasn't I hoped they made some sense to someone

all the nismo arms are claimed to have different bushes material used than the nissan stuff

most are braced, different length for more camber more caster etc

pretty sure nismo mounts are again made with different material than nissan mounts so there more rigid

I've never cut open a brand new nissan mount compared to a brand new nismo mount never had a reason to doubt the claims

I've just tried rocking my motors before and after and noticed a difference which I guess your saying is just new compared to old

the graphs probably show the "improvement" claimed by trd

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same.     • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
