Yeh I'm not offended, I'm not new to this forum, been here for almost a year, just cus I don't have 10,000 posts also doesn't make me inferior. I just use this forums to buy parts, I don't really use the forum for advice as its biased and too many champs here trying to be funny/pay out on others.

Shirtstuckedin is hardly underground either, but nice try insulting me. I am no drift king, just having fun and have the evidence to back my claims (Which I am yet to see anyone on here also do) a lot of you people have trouble realizing this and should get their heads out of their asses and stop trying to talk down to me. I would guarantee none of you's would say this to my face if you were ever to see me

Yeh I'd just like to see everyone's personal videos of them doing their sport whether is be drift, drag or circuit. Every one seems to be experts but again. No proof.

And using underwear out of vending machines? I was clearly talking about the car scene, good work!

Jump on shirtstuckedin.com guys. It's a blog, he travels to Japan all the time. He has over 40,000 followers because he understands drift an Japanese culture and understands n/a's are just as awesome in their own way.

Get rid o your redneck mindset that just cus it isn't fast that it is shit

And as with the school holidays quote, funny aye. You probs have a shit paying job and spend your night scrolling through chat roulette stroking yourself in front of guys.

Drifting an na is cheap btw. Like I said, I have had no dramas with my car, I use 2nd hand tyres and get them for free. And a morning session at qr costs 120. Please tell me how it is expensive?

Again, PLEASE LINK ME A VIDEO OF 'YOU' DOING BETTER BEFORE YOU TRY INSULT ME!

Oh god I can't wait to post up my 1/4 mile to shut u the f**k up, dear god.... Your the Human equivalent of a f**king mushroom you think you get rid of them all but u come back

Haha u think I wouldn't say this to your face.... You make me laugh (refer to fitness threads for pics and then please be quite)

seems to be alot of testosterone getting flung aronud in here.....SAU is suppose to be a car forum where people can come enjoy/read/learn/buy and chit chat with other like minded people who enjoy the car scene

keep this B/S to boostcruising or somesh*t

Most of the testosterone getting flung round is by you. You are the one getting super defensive and insisting we all know nothing unless we prove it. Hell you even made a thinly veiled threat of violence.

I don't need to prove myself to someone with a superiority complex, so you feel free to continue on thinking i am just talking out my arse. And yes i would glady say any of this to your face.

lol clearly just wanted your 2cents as i havent said sh*t in this thread cept for above....

just making your self look like a git

lol after watching this thread for a while, i feel bad for fryters. All he originally said was "Na's arent that bad, although they arent fast, they are fun to drift". He wasnt in the wrong, he was making a claim that n/a's arent that bad from his personal experience You guys are the ones who went off topic by challenging him, causing this argument to take place and drift off topic. Then started ganging up on the kid. Even the moderator of this forum stated this topic was about how quick the N/As are but he himself started challenging fryters. Its no wonder his replys are starting to get aggressive, let the guy be jeeze. His a fellow car enthusiast like you, whose passion lies in drifting. So what if he has his opinions on commies, you guys are no different hating on the n/a's with your silly opinions. Seriously i joined this forum thinking people would respect and acknowledge everyone's opinions, turns out they just look down on you if they drive something better, looking for some stupid argument, i just saw another post of a guy asking if he should get a R33 or R34 GTR since he was stuck and didnt know which one to get, obviously he was looking for a fellow car enthusiast to help him out on this God forsaken forum, instead half the guys on that post started having a go at the op for no reason. Ill admit i was also in the wrong in this post, i did curse at one of the members but i apologized for it as well, he still ended up replying to me like a cock. As did a lot of you to fryters. Pathetic, all of you.

Well he did insult my driving by assuming I cant drift/drive and he did insult others aswell because we don't have any 'drift' footage for him. Personally I do have footage of track work, but Im not gonna post it up to prove a point to this jerk off.

I would feel ashamed to own an N/A with this guy trying to be the ultimate fanboy.

As mentioned already theres heaps of guys who have footage on here, they can all drive alot bettter.

Again guys I do have a space shuttle in my garage. I am not going to post pics cus I don't need to prove it to you guys.

And just cus your fit doesn't make you tough lol, the bigger guys are always the funniest to watch fight. Just cus you sit in a room and lift weights and eat clean food doesn't mean your Bruce lee lol.

And again your 1/4mile will be as boring as watching paint dry. 'oh look how quickly that car is moving in a straight line, that would of cost him heaps...'

Well he's only bagging out drag racing because there isn't an N/A import that can get anything resembling a decent time (incidentally not a fan of the sport, but the car going down the 1/4 is only the tip of the iceberg).

The only reason anyone buys them is because they are on their P's.

I found no issues with my N/A skyline. I would 100% own one again if i didn't chose a motorbike as a daily. they make perfect daily drives. Sure they are not overly powerful but you can still drift them and everything is in perspective. If someone takes an N/A skyline to a track to have a bit of fun and they have not driven anything quicker they will have the time of their life. It's like if someone has not driven a 200kw car before they will find it crazy at first. But if someone comes in from a 500kw car it will feel like nothing.

But in saying that yes most people pick them up on P's and then swap to a turbo when they can. However After driving the N/A around and swapping to a GTR the petrol money makes your balls hurt.

Where are these maintenence costs? Plugs, oil, filters are no more expensive than any other car. Some parts that wear may be a bit pricier than for a commo or falcon but are reasonable when compared to other vehicles which also aren't as common. No turbo setup means theres far less to go wrong in the first place...

hmm owning an import for a daily with nearly all of the maintenence costs but none of the power of the turbo variants.... sounds legit...

I had my N/A for 5 years and nothing broke on it. Only general maintenance.

parts mainly, specfically suspension parts that tend to flog out on our shitty roads, and stuff that breaks on 20 year old cars that needs to be procured from specialist wreckers.

Also finding a mechanic who wants to work on imports ($$$ or incompetence, your pick)

Trust me, I've owned both. Not comparing fuel usage as my R32 had a Microtech and bigger turbo, 'nuff said.

I doubt I'd get better fuel economy from an N/A skyline than my LS though (10l/100 or so mostly highway)

    • And finally, the front lower mount. It was doubly weird. Firstly, the lower mount is held in with a bracket that has 3 bolts (it also acts as the steering lock stop), and then a nut on the shock lower mount itself. So, remove the 3x 14mm head bolts , then the 17mm nut that holds the shock in. From there, you can't actually remove the shock from the lower mount bolt (took me a while to work that out....) Sadly I don't have a pic of the other side, but the swaybar mounts to the same bolt that holds the shock in. You need to push that swaybar mount/bolt back so the shock can be pulled out past the lower control arm.  In this pic you can see the bolt partly pushed back, but it had to go further than that to release the shock. Once the shock is out, putting the new one in is "reverse of disassembly". Put the top of the shock through at least one hole and put a nut on loosely to hold it in place. Put the lower end in place and push the swaybar mount / shock bolt back in place, then loosely attach the other 2 top nuts. Bolt the bracket back in place with the 14mm head bolts and finally put the nut onto the lower bolt. Done....you have new suspension on your v37!
    • And now to the front.  No pics of the 3 nuts holding the front struts on, they are easy to spot. Undo 2 and leave the closest one on loosely. Underneath we have to deal with the wiring again, but this time its worse because the plug is behind the guard liner. You'll have to decide how much of the guard liner to remove, I undid the lower liner's top, inside and lower clips, but didn't pull it full off the guard. Same issue undoing the plug as at the rear, you need to firmly push the release clip from below while equally firmly gripping the plug body and pulling it out of  the socket. I used my fancy electrical disconnect pliers to get in there There is also one clip for the wiring, unlike at the rear I could not get behind it so just had to lever it up and out.....not in great condition to re-use in future.
    • Onto the rear lower shock mount. It's worth starting with a decent degrease to remove 10+ years of road grime, and perhaps also spray a penetrating oil on the shock lower nut. Don't forget to include the shock wiring and plug in the clean.... Deal with the wiring first; you need to release 2 clips where the wiring goes into the bracket (use long nose pliers behind the bracket to compress the clip so you can reuse it), and the rubber mount slides out, then release the plug.  I found it very hard to unplug, from underneath you can compress the tab with a screwdriver or similar, and gently but firmly pull the plug out of the socket (regular pliers may help but don't put too much pressure on the plastic. The lower mount is straightforward, 17mm nut and you can pull the shock out. As I wasn't putting a standard shock back in, I gave the car side wiring socket a generous gob of dialectric grease to keep crap out in the future. Putting the new shock in is straightforward, feed it into at least 1 of the bolt holes at the top and reach around to put a nut on it to hold it up. Then put on the other 2 top nuts loosely and put the shock onto the lower mounting bolt (you may need to lift the hub a little if the new shock is shorter). Tighten the lower nut and 3 upper nuts and you are done. In my case the BC Racing shocks came assembled for the fronts, but the rears needed to re-use the factory strut tops. For that you need spring compressors to take the pressure off the top nut (they are compressed enough when the spring can move between the top and bottom spring seats. Then a 17mm ring spanner to undo the nut while using an 8mm open spanner to stop the shaft turning (or, if you are really lucky you might get it off with a rattle gun).
    • You will now be able to lift the parcel shelf trim enough to get to the shock cover bolts; if you need to full remove the parcel shelf trim for some reason you also remove the escutcheons around the rear seat release and you will have to unplug the high stop light wiring from the boot. Next up is removal of the bracket; 6 nuts and a bolt Good news, you've finally got to the strut top! Remove the dust cover and the 3 shock mount nuts (perhaps leave 1 on lightly for now....) Same on the other side, but easier now you've done it all before
    • OK, so a bunch of trim needs to come off to get to the rear shock top mounts. Once the seat is out of the way, the plastic trim needs to come off. Remove 2 clips at the top then slide the trim towards the centre of the car to clear the lower clip Next you need to be able to lift the parcel shelf, which means you need to remove the mid dark trim around the door, and then the upper light trim above the parcel shelf. The mid trim has a clip in the middle to remove first, then lift the lowest trim off the top of the mid trim (unclips). At the top there is a hidden clip on the inner side to release first by pulling inwards, then the main clip releases by pulling the top towards the front of the car. The door seal comes off with the trim, just put them aside. The the lighter upper trim, this is easy to break to top clips so take it carefully. There is a hidden clip towards the bottom and another in the middle to release first by pulling inwards. Once they are out, there are 3 clips along the rear windscreen side of the panel that are hard to get under. This is what the rear of the panel looks like to assist:
