The colt for sure. Think about it, it's lightweight and it has a turbo. The skyline is a whale and it has a turbo as well, so it comes down to weight.

If you wanna win, get rid of anything unnecessary for the car to actually run.

Stereo equipment

passenger seat

Rear seats

bonnet

front bar

rear bar

skirts

wing

Aircon

radiator (if the race is over a short distance and the car isn't running for more than a few minutes it's not really essential)

Consider even removing small things like the fuel filter, it all adds up

Get a hole saw and make numerous glory holes throughout the car. You'll need the airflow without your aircon and you'd be very surprised how much weight can be saved by shedding a bit of metal that is only there for structural integrity. Speed is more important.

Now, just before the race, open up the colt owners hatch and fill it with as much shit that you removed from your car as you can without him noticing. Be smart about it, don't stick shit on the passenger seat where he's likely to look. In the boot and the back will be good.

Always try to maximise your advantage by taking off before the lights turn green. There are a few reasons for this:

1. That split second of time that you gain by taking off before the light is green could turn into a car length before the next set of lights.

2. If you come close to hitting a car coming through the intersection, you may be fortunate enough to startle the colt driver and he will bodge his take off.

3. Everyone knows that if you go for it on green, you'll hit a truck reversing out of a driveway just beyond the finish line. If you leave the line a little early, your opponent will hit the truck, making his loss even more devestating. Not only did he lose to a shitbox, but he wrecked his car in the process.

There you have it, it is really that simple.

Unless the colt was doing everything right and the skyline everything wrong, money's on the RB.

Does come down to driver at the end of the day.

Yeah true.. But colts are piss weak by the sound of it.. And yeah true.. I rekon i would smoke the colt though.. Haha..:)..

only way to find out is try...

i dont know how much power they make but you might get a nasty surprise... my b16 civic with intake headers and exhaust (untuned) made 100kw at the front wheels and weighed 960kgs with me and full tank of fuel in it I Beat my mates r32 gtst, he had 3" exhaust, front mount, more boost, i think a little high flowed 20 turbo, it was tuned and making 190kw at the rears and i beat him by half a car in a straight line.

If you guys want tips for anything else or want me to give you the low down on any other car comparison, don't hesitate to give me a shout.

You'd be surprised at how much of an edge I can give you over your opponent. You'd be shocked to know that a ford courier actually has more potential than a Gallardo, but it's true and I can tell you how.

    • Hi guys . Can someone help me  I bought an Android screen for my Nissan fuga but it won't turn on
    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
