car is stock as a rock with 77 thousand on the clock so it needs love

who does a decent stroker so i can do some research ?

Ok so then add another 10k as you need injectors, AFM, ECU, clutch, exhaust, oil cooler, radiators, ducting, brakes and then the labour to fit the turbos and fixing up the small bits along the way as well.

To go from stock car to a stroked 400krw track machine, that is reliable and actually consistently fast - 35k is the start point, and no, I'm not joking.

the plot thickens did the cooler my self already not sure on the state of the exhaust some sort of 5gine 5 inch tip

Yeah 5" at the end, might have a 2.5 restrictor in the middle (lots of Jap exhausts do)

i was worried about this any brand i should be looking at to replace it or go custom made?

is there any advantage to using TI over normal stainless apart from weight

is the one inch for every 100 kw rule gosphel ?

dump pipe and exhaust manifold sizing ?

Oh whops...

400rwkw = 4" baby, and @ 4" you'll need to go custom and ensure it's tucked close as you can for height issues. Ti is just weight.

If you are going -5s stock manifolds are fine, as are the turbos as they come.

Any benefits of porting the stock manifolds? Just in the top end?

Might be, no one has done on car testing back to back. Only flow bench and people seem to make the power regardless.

So won't hurt and if you do - never take too much, will make it weak and then cracking can occur

If you want better response, then the most cost effective way of doing this is swapping the exhaust manifold to a tuned length type with 1" runners. I have just done this conversion to my RB25 with GTRS turbo and the response is as good as the stock ceramic turbo, but I make more power everywhere (with over 255 rwkw at the top end).

R32Nismoid mentioned earlier in this thread about the 1" runners choking your top end power, that's nonsense - he clearly has no experience with this kind of manifold.

Speak to Nathan Weissel at O2 Autosports, his drift car has an RB26 with a big single, it runs one of these manifolds (albeit in twin scroll and with twin wastegates) that makes 424 rwkw and sees boost in the range you are looking for.

What turbo?

Nice try... But... Your entire comment is nonsense pal as this is what i said:

It's always interesting as the turbine housing is usually always where the restriction is, so promoting flow outta the head larger/smaller runners - would be interesting to see how much response you would actually get.

Yep clearly said 1" runners on the exhaust manifold would hurt top end

What turbo?

And fuel

And the testing to show differences between runner types

etc etc.

^ and with good reason, making them response driven from the exhaust side maybe hurts too much in the top end?

That was the comment I was referencing in my above post, but maybe I was a bit harsh as you did put a question mark on the end.

    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks
    • Hi Guys, Does anyone know any aftermarket part numbers for a starter motor to suit the VQ25DET? I can find lots of alternative part number for the VQ35DE, which I assume would fit, but there is a lot of conflicting information out there. Thanks..
    • I don't understand how this hasn't boiled down to - Upgrade the turbo when you have everything required. ECU, injectors, fuel pump, turbo, etc. Do it all at once.  If you don't have everything required, just enjoy the car as it is and keep saving up your pennies.
