portaz
Well it's not benign or malignant somewhere I'm between due to the attacking of the skull but treatment is same as if it were benign. Just watch and see if it grows back he won't operate again till its 2.5cm which would be a few years if at all. GTR-N1
Hopefully youi'll die in 70yrs time of something else, whilst this thing continues to regrow. By then, just opt to be buried won't you? It stops growing in a coffin. Whereas, cremation smoke just spreads it around. portaz
Yes good point don't want that smoke sharing it around my gut says it will come back but prob 10 years or more but mark Sheridan is the best really I can't tell you how good he is, out of my op he only made 2k out if the total 25 k bill to insurer if I had gone to Charlie teo I'm told I would have had to pay another 30k out of pocket expenses I feel like dr Sheridan does it for right reason to help ppl and the anesthesia guy Henry too brilliant and they have been together since they left UNi and again no gap he is amazing I didn't even feel the needle. portaz
I'm ok just very tired but doing a few hours work on the engine when I can, so far installed metal intake gaskets, did throttle body mod, polished plenum. I also ported exhaust manifold and turned engine over today to inspect bearings. I found them to be blueish in colour so I posted in forced induction forum and got an English lesson by some tool. I a bit annoyed about it to be honest , I am a paid member if sau I contribute daily in non gen y English and these people respond like that? I guess it's enough if my rant I'm off to bed to try to rest. Surgeon is happy with progress though going for follow up MRI tomorrow to look at what the tumor or lack of is up to and the most annoying part is cerebral fluid swelling when I do too much. portaz
Seems I took it wrong way! They say that can happen with the position of my tumor, I just see people so often critisised about punctuation etc i always feel for them. portaz
Cancer specialist called tonight apparently my tumor is quite rare as although its a grade 2 menigioma it also has rahboyd cells which are very fast growing, she said just wait for MRI in 6 months but if I have any issues to call her, to be honest her tone wasn't great but I have to trust her so time will tell, fingers crossed again I guess. GTR-N1
Hi Scott, Q1 Have you looked up these terms on the net? Q2 If it's possible to be proactive and do things to secure a remission, are you up to it? Q3 If so, in the meantime, I'm wondering if any help can be gained (as you look these up), from Melatonin (5mg lozenges) and Laetrile (aka Vit B17 in apricot kernels)? portaz
I have looked it up and it explains her tone, yes there are drugs etc that can be used but my gut says to trust the specialists as they have been brilliant. I will do some more research but really the only thing that will stop it is radiation if it were to come back but they don't "think" it will, and my age is the main reason they don't want to radiate. I can't really explain my feelings but I havnt really worried so far and it's harder for my family emotionally than be and I was at peace enough that if I was to die then its gods will and to that end I kind if think if this thing grows back quickly I'm screwed if it takes the ten years or so that I feel it will ( if it does) then I just need to go through this again but at least will survive. I still feel ultimately lucky in my life I have much to be thankful for and there are many that have it much much worse even on this forum . scotty nm35
I would give you a hand buddy but it's a fair drive for me. Perhaps you could drop the transfer case off to make it lighter? Then slide a trolley jack under it? You only need the top bolts in to hold it in position, then you could take your time...
