well this weekend made the start on the laurel took it for its last drive for while as i start fixing things up getting ready to go over the pits for rego

things to do:

fix exhaust manifold leak

fit new steering rack boots

fits lights,horn

try to find out whats going on with the power steering

need to check over the car and check the cams and make sure it has actually got the poncams in it and find out whats going on with the computer and what it is as i looked and looks like a stock r33 but as he said had a ems but was told the ems may of been cut in to the loom like a chip so hoping i didnt get shafted on that but still got it for a good price and cant complain about that

will put more pictures up later once i slip rocket covers off get some pictures of the cams and try to find some numbers on them and try and find out what they are...

yeah think ill just do the same took the manifold to the machine shop today to see about getting it fix and since it had warped 4mm out on each side that fixing it would make it very thin so ive decided to scrap the dirty cheap china manifold and get something good as everything else is good quality on the car so now ive gotta make a decision on what sort of manifold to go with

suggestions very welcome ;)

It looks like an additional injector controller. Back in the olden days before chips etc if you wanted extra fuel on a fuel injected car they sometimes plumbed in another single injector to the intake to supply some extra fuel. Seems laughable given the tuning that can be done these days.

Should bolt straight up if using RB25 G/box to Rb25 motor. Sandwich plate is only used to mate different engine and gearbox combo's like a toyota engine to Nissan gearbox. Most Nissan stuff is good to go from that era so a Z32 g/box and RB g/box will have the same pattern.

yeah well hope it all works out just have to sort the tailshaft out hoping can just join the backpart of the auto shaft to the front of the 33 fingers crossed

You won't be able to just join the 2 tail shafts. They are a fair bit different. But it easy to get the 2 made into one. Take a measurement from the end of the output shaft on the gearbox to the center bearing bolt holes. Take that measurement and both the tail shafts to dynamic balancing in invermay and they will sort you out.

Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
